Can I do one cycle and keep the gains?

Is it true that I will lose the gains once I stop the cycle?

I just want to do one cycle. Get good mass ( I need on my chest mainly). Don't want to do cycles every now and then.

Somebody told me I will come back to ground zero after few months (may be after one year for sure).

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Sorry for not putting that in my initial posting.

After one cycle, if I do PCT, will I keep that gains forever? I mean if I don't do any more cycles.

Just want to gain some mass on some body parts......mainly chest

First of all, it ALL depends how you do it! If you have a good PCT, you could hold a most of your gains.

Second, those questions are extremely juvenile. You need to do a TON more research before you even decide to touch AAS. It is not a decision that should be taken lightly. Done incorrectly and you could really mess things up. If you are not considering this a sport for the long term, I again would not recommend AAS. If you are younger than 22-24, you are too young!

Most young guys fail to realize that a good diet and hard work in the gym can put you on 30+ pounds in the first year! If you have diet questions or workout questions; I would start there. We are here to help and critique.

Started working out regularly 3 yr back (before that on and off). Went from 165 to 190 in my first year. But from almost 2 yr, my gains are less than 5 pounds.

I am 28yr now......5'11......around 195lb

Thinking about doing one cycle. One friend who did told me that its not at all true that we will keep gains if I don't do cycles regularly (with some gap anyway). He said I will come back to normal after one year.

So wondering whether to do this or try to work on my natural potential more?
I changed my workout and changed my diet. Still unable to do over 200lb.

My goal is 230 with 12%bf. Don't want a ripped look.

Reading most of the postings for more than a year now.

Really appreciate your inputs.

Post up your diet and your routine. We will try and help you out.

I loose about 10% strength off cycles. But thats still on the plus side of pre cycle.

Example last cycle my bench was 255 x 5 reps max..real weak. I have long arms at 6'4"

On cycle week 10 = 345 x 5...nice jump.

5 months after cycle still doing 295 x 5.

Diet and rest are on point though. I ran 500mg Test E and used nolva and clomid for PCT. Simple with great results.

Current cycle already at 335lbs x 8 and only 4 weeks into 8 week cycle.

I like short 8 week cycles. Little sides= easy on/easy off.
 
You wont be as hard or strong, and pumps will be harder to come by, but you can maintain the gains from a cycle IF you do the following:

1) Have proper PCT

2) Eat enough to maintain the gains

3) Train to maintain the gains

4) Are far from your genetic max (search for genetic max in this forum and see what yours is).

Personally, unless youve got some long circumferences in your ankles and wrists, youre not going to be 230 at 12% naturally and if you get there with aas, you wont keep it.
 
I have watched so many friends use in the past and have come to the conclusion if you are unable to gain and keep muscle naturally you will not be able to keep it after a cycle. If you can’t get “big” without them you won’t stay “big” once off them. I am not referring to proper diet and training but just ones body composition.
