About a year ago it was discovered that I have proteinuria and it was thought that it was a result of my high blood pressure. I saw a urologist last week because I thought I had a UTI but it turns out it was a hernia. Anyways he discovered that I still have proteinuria although my BP has been under control 120/75. I had a detailed CT done of my kidneys(pyelogram) and blood work as well. Everything came back 100% normal. Is it normal for bodybuilders to have proteinuria because of the high amount of protein we eat(I eat about 300 grams a day and weigh 250)? If not, does anyone know what would cause this other than high BP or poor functioning kidneys(which have both been ruled out)?
