I did something a few months ago and pulled my groin, right side. Every time I think it's better, bang, I reinjure it.

I've been attempting to be smart about it, but I guess I am not smart enough. Anyone else had this nagging, b.s. injury? I am getting bored with it!

The thing that solved my issues in the hip/groin and lower back was a DVD called "Magnificent Mobility" by Eric Cressey and Mike Robertson. I can't say enough good things about it.

PB

hope you get better soon.

THANKS, PAUL. I'LL ORDER THAT DVD.

I KEEP TRYING TO TRAIN AND GET SET BACK EACH TIME I GO HEAVY. :(

IT'S UP HIGH....pHATkID.

full out tear, or aggrivated...and where, deep in the crease by the balls/tendon, or more inner thigh?

strogmen powershorts.... 45% neoprene...compression shorts...GOLD JERRY, GOLD

I EVEN THOUGHT I HAD A HERNIA.....I DON'T IT JUST HURTS UP BY THE SCROTUM...GETTING UP OFF THE FLOOR IS A DELICATE PROCESS TODAY.

GETTING OUT OF THE CAR....LOL.

NOSMAS, I HOPE SO TOO. IT'S CRAMPING MY STYLE!

hope you get better soon.

It's been about three months...I'll take it easy..think it's better and do it again.

It's legs today. I've had the heater on in the "sun room"...a room off the living room in my small apt. The squat rack is looking rather unappealing to me. It's been over an hour of me sitting here being a puss.

I think I am going to use 225 and squat down to a bench,,,,do stiff legged deads and calves and call it good.

I used to do it during two a day football practices in high school.

eek..sounds up in there..

best of luck

phats

I must have a weakness in that area. Meanwhile the legs are shrinking! lol. I did it while I was dieting of course....trying to be a man or something even though I didn't feel strong.

I've done it twice, in the past and each time it happened while useing a wide stance with my toes pointed slightly out. To help it heal I cut my ROM, and used a close stance with my toes pointed inline with my body (forward)
I felt like a puss, but it was the only way I could work around it. After about three or four months I realized it wasn't a problem anymore and went back to regular stance and ROM.

I'LL GIVE THAT A TRY, EROC.

What you are describing makes sense. :)

i've torn it. for rehab you can do limited ROM step-ups and reverse lunges. as you get stronger and more flexible increase the ROM. once you have fairly equal strength and range off both sides, it will not be an issue when squatting.

JT I have the same problem but its with my right hip flexor. About 6 months ago doing heavy deep squats, I pulled it badly, possible torn?? I just know ever since that moment, I sometimes randomly have a sharp throbbing pain there which is strange. However, its improved enough that I can finally do leg presses with a fair amount of weight, but if I go too deep the pain comes back. But hey, at least I can do something to prevent further muscle lost, until its completely healed. Hopefully this thing will work it self out sooner or later.

Injuries SUCK!

I hope you get better soon JT.

It sucks!

I hope you get healed up too. That's what I want to do...NOT SHRINK! LOL.

I'd sure as hell hate to tear it!

I did squats to a bench tonight...I was able to use 3 plates each side. I then did ham curls and calf raises on the leg press. Still hurt to lower myself into the darn car though.

I did those step-ups you mentioned this morning and they felt okay...so then I went in tonight and squatted. Yeah, a retarded bastard.

I know you know where I am coming from!

I hope you get better soon JT.

Did you ever get that fiery woman calmed down about your friends hormone use? ;)

ha! yeah, she's better now… back down to just feisty :)

How I know that?:D

JT, I had torn mine, it takes time to heal. DON'T PUSH MORE THAN YOUR LIMITS! that is the best advice I can give you. God Bless you Brother!

Soak it in cider!

Sorry to hear that bro. I have a similar tear in my elbow Ive been babying for a couple of months. Better just give it a total rest and let it heal fully. Justrely on muscle memory to get you back up there once it's healed. If you do keep working legs, just go easy on it.
