Bro, first off, I want to commend you on your decision to quit. That shit is ROUGH! Now, I'm gonna tell you, first hand, about Chantix. I used it and it does make it easy to not smoke...while you are on it. As soon as you come off, the receptors in your brain that Chantix was occupying are now empty and the cravings come back with a vengeance. And lets not even get started with the depression. I mean, like everyone, I get a little blue from time to time but while on this, I couldn't shake it. What used to last a day or so now ended up being like weeks of depression. That's when I decided to cut the treatment short.
I was really pissed after that and made up my mind to just quit cold turkey, come what may. By chance, I was looking for new apps for my iPhone and came upon a quit smoking hypnosis app. It was cheaper than a pack of smokes here in NYC (9.50!!!) so I gave it a shot. Guess what? It worked after ONE SESSION!!!! It's a combination of binaural beats, hypnotism and subliminal messages. I haven't smoke since Easter and I'm not tempted to smoke. It's really amazing. I've been meaning to make a thread about this but I just forgot.
Anyways, I never believed in hypnotism or any of that stuff before but I'm now a HUGE fan. Oh and you don't need and iPhone to get the sessions. You can download the MP3 from Maxkirsten.com Whatever you decide, good luck and please be mindful of that drug you are taking! There have been class-action lawsuits all over the place surrounding it. Peace.
