color of tops

can someone please explain to me the difference between yellow tops, blue tops, green tops etc...

The color of the cap means absolutely nothing. The reputation of your source means everything. To give you an idea. When I place a large order with the lab they ask me what color cap I want. I can choose any color I want. It's not like all the good labs use x color and all the inferior labs use another.

I've used this analogy in other posts but it bears repeating: It's like saying which color automobiles are of higher quality: Blue, red, yellow, etc. The color has nothing to do with quality.

got it. what confused me was that some sponsors offer both blue and yellow tops for different prices and they don't offer specifics as to why one costs more. i would assume that the pricier item is supposedly better quality

I haven't found any differences in the colors of tops when dealing with trusted high quality labs.

Some are better than others. It still depends on the manufacturer and your source, not the color of the top.

This question will forever pop up over and over. Every lab has there own system of top colors that they use to distinguish the quality of their product. For example, XYZ lab sells blue tops, green tops and red tops. They allege that the blues have 96% purity and cost $100, the greens 97% and cost $200, and the reds 99-100% and cost $400. Another lab can have an entirely different system. You need to learn what labs you trust and what quality they have for various colors. One labs greens are not another labs greens.
IN SHORT: cap colors are how a lab differentiate their product quality.
