Dave Palumbo Diet 8 Weeks out

I am currently 8 weeks out
220lb not sure of bodyfat% but I feel I am on track to be really lean
I been dieting for 4 weeks, 2 weeks on Palumbo diet..

I'm going to guess around 13/14%. What is your objective?
 
I really don"t care about what I weigh as long as I come in under 5% or so..
It is my first time on Dave's diet, I have done low carbs in past and got really lean but I think I lost muscle before so this time I am trying his diet and I will post my pics every week to show progress
 
I think you are off the mark for 5%. Take a look at the 7 week out picture shelby just posted of one of his clients.
 
Is Dave personally doing your diet?

Some people THINK they lose muscle. I tend to think it's more lack of cell volumization because you barely hold any water, which is why a GOOD pump is hard to come by on keto. When you carb up really heavy at a sushi buffett, then you'll look full.

I'd speed things up a bit. I'd put you at around 10-12 weeks out.
 
Big Dave.. yeah he is personally doing my diet..
I do look real flat and I know in the pictures I don"t look real lean.. but I feel I will be.. I know once I incorporate carbs again I will look good. These pics were taken right before my cheat meal, which I get to carb up 1 meal a week..and after that meal I am real vascular. I have done other diets in the past and I look leaner by know but I think it is lack of carbs cause Dave thinks I am on right track so far..?
 
I added a pic I took from my I-Phone.. it has better lighting and it is a semi relaxed pose in front.. I have another show I am doing in May so If I am not ready in 8 weeks then the other show is 12 weeks out..

my thoughts...

that diet SUCKS. tried it and hated it and got sub par results. did a diet with macro's in right ratio's and got leaner, bigger and felt better. and could take a shit again:D (seriously, watch out for constipation)

i think you are behind. 8 weeks is prolly not enough time so just focus on steady losing and be prepared for that later show.

what do you expect to weigh at the show? -JS

Johnnysmiles- I decided to try his diet once and I will follow this diet out and see how I end up and if I look good in the end then i will do it again.. I know his diet doesn't work for everyone.. As far as constipation I take metamucil twice a day ( so far so good..)...
Thanks for advice! As far as weight not sure last show I did a year half ago I weighed 196lb and started at 225lb
This time I was 240lb so I hope to come in harder and leaner and let the weight fall where it falls..

Robot- I will listen to Dave 100%.. This is a lot dif diet than I am used too so I have no choice!
 
I love Dave's methods. Never used him directly, but his diet flat out works for me.

His diet doesn't suck. Your body just sucks at responding to it. You may need to take another road, that's all. My body looks fanTAAAAASTIC when I can stick to a solid keto.

Also, don't worry about constipation! You eat veggies and take fiber, right? I crapped like a champ (but I'm the Eastern USA Toilet Bombing Champion 2 years running).

Updated pics looks a ton better. Good luck. Work hard!

i was taking metamucil, some kind of colon green stuff and drinking lots of water and was getting constipated 2 times a week BADLY. i looked and felt like shit too i guess cuz once i put carbs back into my diet everyone at the gym noticed the next day and i got leaner than i had ever been in my life. i was alsoo stronger so i don't think i lost any muslce.

POWERHOUSE475-perhaps my body "sucked" (as dave said) at functioning with that diet but have you tried any other diet for a show or just palumbos? -JS

Looking even better. Stick to what you're doing! Beware of the fat you hold in your lower back. You're lucky because you're getting leaner in your stomach, but your lower back will be slower. Just means you have to work harder than you want to.

Keep up with heavy movements for back and legs. They are your most glaring weaknesses. Otherwise, I think you'll be really happy with how you'll look.

JohnnySmiles- It was my crude way of saying it. I just meant that some people who tried the Palumbo-style diet for 8-10 weeks exactly as planned didn't have the best result. We have no idea how our bodies will react because there's no test to see which diet will work best... obviously. My test was dieting with carbs year after year and feeling like a failure. I was hungry, I'd cheat, I'd go up and down in energy, and I didn't feel healthy. When I switched over to keto style dieting, it was like an awakening. Everything became easy. My body felt cleaner and I just got leaner week by week.
