DHEA/Pregnenolone with HRT

Does anyone here take DHEA and/or Pregnenolone while on HRT? then is that otc or doc prescribed dhea/preg?

I take 25mg DHEA daily with TRT. I get more energy but if I go higher in dosing I get what feels like E2 sides. I'm early 40's for reference.

I'm new to TRT, but I have used DHEA and Pregnenolone together for years. I use a high quality lotion in both.

HCG being a LH analogue in males stimulates biosynthetic pathway for DHEA/pregnenolone....so it may be overkill if you are already supplementing with HCG in your TRT.

Only bloodwork would determine your personal needs.

I unfortunately don't have bloodwork to back this up... but pregnenolone is one of those things that I notice when I run out. It's nothing dramatic, but it just helps me with a feeling of well-being.

ok..I've been on trt almost a year. I know dhea/preg deprivation occurs being on TRT for a while. I was on hcg on and off on my own doc didnt prescribe, but off now for almost 2 months. Have my 6 months follow up with my doc in few weeks. I am hoping to get DHEA/Preg test done see where they at..def not feeling as great as first couple months..I am in mid 30s

I'm not gyno prone at all but EVERYTIME I have tried using DHEA I get sore, puffy nipples. I personally will not use it again most likely.

Ha ha, you're like me... Super Gyno prone. I just touch Test and my nipples flare up, have to be using an anti estrogen constantly.

But I never heard of DHEA, being use while on TRT..

Have you tried pregnenolone? The DHEA I can take or leave... the pregnenolone is what makes a difference in the way I feel.

how do you take preg? and for dhea:

"dhea, alo pregnenolone is suppressed on TRT. On the other hand DHEA aromatases to estrone through androstenedione. Serum S-DHEA, DHEA decline is part of the andropause.

Well I just take 90mg orally per day. Don't just follow my protocol, because it's not really a protocol at all. I hear the transdermal is ideal. Really I should be doing bloodwork.
