DNP and low carbs

My lifting partner is currently cutting using a Palumbo type diet (carbs PW only and protein and fats throughout the day). He wants to throw in some DNP to burn fat faster. He has used DNP before with a modererate carb diet, but never low carb. I thought DNP would be ineffective on a low carb diet because it will burn dietary fat before body fat. I also thought carbs were needed to have it work optimally. Can anyone offer any insight or experience? Thanks.
 
try moderate carbs with dnp it will keep the temp high, if you go low carb it seems to drop your fever like symptoms.
 
To tell you the truth I dont know (sorry, not the best way to start a reply). I have heard different theories and dont know enough about body chemisty to really pick one. I Usually do a moderate carb diet as lex said. But I read that if you carb depleate for a few days before you use DNP then eat moderate carbs that is the most optimal way. Do as much research as you can. I have also gone to 3 day blast cycles. Doing like 600,400,200 and I lose a few lbs each time. And if you take them all at about 6pm the worst of the sweats happens while you are sleeping.

There were some pretty good posts by Andy 13 on EF but I dont know if they are still there.
 
dont go low carbs on dnp. eat 1g per pound of bodyweight, keep simple sugars to a minimum, and fat way low. dnp burns dietary fat before stored fat. it is like doing cardio all day. would you eat fat before cardio? if you eat 100g+ fat per day you will just be burning that off. a keto diet on dnp doesnt do much. when on dnp, your body isnt like normal. your atp is depleted.
 
yeah ive done dnp many times and eating clean complex moderate carbs (1g per pound of bodyweight) are the way to go with low low fats when on dnp, so you do have to diet. i just lost 7 pounds but i dont want to use it much again.
 
You gotta feed the furnace...

...w/ DNP so have a medium amount of carbs. The DNP will take care of the fat burning.

the last time i ran it, i kept fats low(only in chicken) and ate only broccoli for carbs, protein was at 2Xs bdywgt. it worked very well for me this time, 9lbs in 5 days. there was not much heat or sweating to speak of this time either, very tolerable that way, but got very drained towards the end.

did u ever get any cytadren?

Byrd, still waiting on the cytadren. The book covers diet, but only vaguely. The rest of it is awesome. Well worth it, IMO. Have you started contest prep yet? Good luck bro, and good to hear from you.
 
I used dnp last september and a moderate carb diet w/ prop/fina and cut fat at a really fast rate, by mid october it was working great.

low carb i couldnt handle i crave them way too much while on, and my body is asking for them, dnp really wears me out.
 
i've been thinking about various diets with DNP and the keto diet just makes you hot as fuck and no fat loss, high carb makes you hot as fuck but good fat loss, has anyone tried a low fat, low carb diet?? ie one consisting of mainly just proteins with some fruit thrown in here and there to keep liver glycogen stores from becoming depleted (don't want T3 to drop off...)

t3 does begin to drop off after the 3rd day on dnp. you dont have to supplement if you are running for 7-8 days but i would. the low carb is also going to drop your t3. also, you must keep diet clean, low carbs for a full week after while the water drops off so i would use the t3.
