I keep getting this error when I try to insert an image on my website, any ideas how to fix this?

"while executing objecttag in image.htm, a javascript error occurred"

btw, its the CS3 version.

From what i have seen on the web, it is caused by dragging and dropping an image onto the designer. Try adding the image using the toolbar(yeah it is slower) but that is supposed to be a workaround.

If you want me to look at the html source for you to see if anything else is 'malformed' you can send me the html source to my pm here or i can give you another email addy.

thanks for the help...I should have put more details... I use the toolbar, what I do is click on: "insert, than image" thats when the error pops up.

also when i click on insert, image objects, rollover image, than I click Browse for the original image, and I get the "while executing onclick in rollover.htm, the following javascript error(s) occurred:

In file ""Rollover"":
Exception thrown in native function."

i have used this on sites I've created, plus blank pages and it keeps giving the same errors.

not sure what to do, especially cuz of the blank templates I've been trying it on to test it.

Let me talk to one of my 'dreamweaver' experts here. I don't use it too much but the fact that it is happening on blank pages leads me to believe that something is wrong with the designer(dreamweaver) itself. Your html cannot possibly be malformed on a blank page.

Have you tried using the instlal cd to repair your copy of dreamweaver? (just throwing out ideas)

Ok our resident 'dreamweaver' expert (at my company's help desk) said the easiest way to fix the problem is to completely uninstall dreamweaver along with any extensions. Then reinstall it, enabling each extension you use one by one and testing. This should let you pinpoint the extension that could be possibly causing the problem. He also said that the majority of the time, the reinstall will just make these errors go away(our marketing dept uses dreamweaver). Sorry i could be more helpful, i do my web coding in Visual Studio .net.

thanks for trying to help dude, but for some reason, even after i re-installed it, it's still giving the same errors. I've been doing some searching on the net trying to find other ways to fix this, but so far, i'm coming up blind. it seems that i'm not the only person... i'm ready to throw the damn pc out the window lol
