DVT Bloodclot Won't Clear

I take Nattokinase and Serrapeptase to support my bodies vascular system. There is evidence of its value in breaking down clots and preventing their development.Probably not wise to take while on other meds for that purpose.Perhaps after treatment is over for prevention.

I used Nattokinase on Emeric's recommendation after my clot/heart attack. I was on that and baby aspirin after I got off the Plavix. About 6 months later I went on Coumadin for added safety, stopped the Nattokinase. I did not have any trouble with the Nattokinase. Of course you dont want to take any other anticlotting drug with Coumadin.

I've heard of Nattokinase being effective but don't know if I can use it while doing the Eliquis. As Mr. Bob said, I'll wait till the current problem clears then us it proactively. Still wondering if the Test Cyp use had something to do with it. I'm on TRT dose (free test showing 800-900) but the warnings claim blood clot possibility with men over 50. I'm 66 so maybe I've shot myself here.

Yeah, dont combine the two.

How is that blood clot doing now? I hope it has broken up and you are doing well.

I would not take more then 5mg , till the cloth clears. you don`t have to retire from working out, actually exercise helps better blood circulation, stop consuming sugar, fry foods, corn and drink lots of water, I had a few times superficial thrombosis on my lower part of my legs, and pulmonary embolism, I am off any medication for over 13 years.
The superficial thrombosis turned into a pe? Dr Google makes it sound like superficial thrombosis is basically harmless

Wheatdog, its been another week. Any luck with that clot clearing up? How are you? I hope you are well.
Don’t have anything to add to this thread, but you’re a really good dude Maldorf for continuing to post here and help guys, after what happened to you.

A LOT of guys would be bitter and most likely just “disappear” from the board, but you’ve stuck around and helped to make this board a better place.

It is much appreciated Maldorf

I would never take medical advice from someone unable to figure out who the OP is. Sorry bro.

One should be very weary where "medical advice" originates. With WiFi and WebMD, who needs med school, right?

If you're ever unlucky enough to develop superficial migratory thrombophlebitis, then try saying that it is "basically harmless."

Went to a specialist and got the skinny on how this should work out. Keep taking the Eliquis and the clot should be reduced by the body in 3-4 mos. He said since I haven't had any PE issues, I can go back to the gym. I'm limited by what causes pain in the right calf so I can do all of my routines except stair stepper and calf raises. I used to be a competitive swimmer so I'll head back to the pool for my cardio. Be a hoot to see if I can get my 200M butterfly back. First workout 2 days ago. Legs. I'm sore as hell since I haven't been working out for about 3 mos now. Legs especially killing me right now. Able to walk without discomfort so I can do everyday activities. Still no idea about the cause. Bad Karma?

What was the proximate cause of the DVT in your RLE?

Did you get tested for blood clotting problems? DNA you can test for factors 2 and 5 I know. There are others too I believe. i was 38 when I developed a big clot in a coronary artery. Im just worried that you might have a disorder and it it isnt diagnosed this will happen again to you.

Easy there Dr. McMaldorf. Let us brainstorm the history of the present illness (HPI). ;) From the info posted, it sounds like this individual most likely developed an unprovoked DVT in his RLE. He states he has been evaluated in the clinic to confirm the DVT which has been positively visualized via 2-D ultrasound and found to extend approximately 14" from the right achilles region to the right popliteal region. Given that the pt is ~60 y/o and is a regular gym rat, what options does he have?

Dr. McMaldorf, this is your cue to say something.

Ok, i'll start off with the simple yet most overlooked in my experience.

Did they draw blood for a Complete Metabolic Panel (CMP, Chem-24) and a Complete Blood Count w/differential (CBC w/diff)?

At least his doc was smart enough to U/S both lower extremities (b/c the human body sometimes does weird things) and started him on Eliquis (Apixiban - an oral factor 10a inhibitor).
