I have a basic understanding on the three compounds and the affects and interactions. So of the reading I have done has left me with some more specific questions that I feel were avoided in the artical because it was sponsored by some product manufacturer. I will start with my basic understanding so we have a starting point for discussion. Finasteride blocks the conversion of testosterone to DHT. So if we can lower the DHT level enough we will reduce hair loss and prostrate enlargement. I think I have this part right from what I have read.
The question is can you supplement with additional testosterone and or other anabolic steroids and get good results if you are taking finasteride to lower your DHT levels.
Has anyone tried looking at blood work to see where their DHT levels were before and after supplementing while using finasteride.
Also where do they think the lower libido and gynocomastia come from. I read where someone had blood work done and their E2 levels were not elevated yet they still had low libido. Maybe not gyno but they reported lower libido. Is the lower DHT the reason for the sides?
I also wonder if the free testosterone is affected by the finasteride. I have not seen any blood work done that looked at those levels along with DHT.
I understand that DHT does give us a positive benefits so there is a price to pay for inhibiting production.
I am looking for a way to use finasteride to control hair loss and prostate enlargement without loosing all the benefits of supplementation of testosterone.
