Gyms in Austin

Taking a trip to austin next week to see about moving to the area. so i need to find a few gyms. So if anyone knows about a few of them post em up.

I was going to say the same. I like Golds best. WOrked out with Lee once at the Gold's mentioned above....

thanks guys not sure where we are going to live but i beleive we are looking at the round rock north austin area. I thought either a gold or a 24 hour would be my best choices

Used to train there. He lives in Scottsdale now. Autin is a great place to train though.

Do you want a relatively hardcore gym? Go check out Hyde Park Gym.
I've given up on Gold's and 24hr fitness. I go to lifetime with my brother who trains at one... but I don't like all the chrome and mirrors. The distraction of girls is nice however!

hyde park is best hard core gym.

your area: golds 2 tech ridge(round rock) is brand new. Clean bath and shower and they use bleach!!! Not many members yet- have place to your self in the AM. Garcia (chick - pro fitness-forgot 1st name) does guest appearance\classes there. Theres a new 24 right across the street too.

I chose Pure Austin (2 locations- 1 d\t and 1 on 183\Braker) personally due to being close to work and the talent there.

I personally didn't like Golds 183/Burnet - equipment old and bathroom\shower less than clean. But there;s a Smootie Factory and Samari Sams next door.

There is also a Gold's on N.I35 and Mills that is about a year old, just north of FM 1330 and South of Hwy 79.

Austin in general is a pretty healthy city, nothing as bad as say San Antonio.
