help busted in testing

A friend of mine got busted in steriod test.
He had 6,5ng/ml 19-nor-androsteron.
What does it mean? what is the normal level etc?
Need help with some good explanation to say that he didnt take anything can we blame some other pills or some kind of nutrition/bars etc?

Honestly not sure what to do but what is this for? show? is he in HS playing sports or in college? Is this for a job? Police?

Sometimes the best thing to do would be to man up and admit especially if he is playing hs or college sports......Being honest with your coach is one of the hardest things to do but they will respect you for it and go to bat for you cause you stood up and took responsibility and were a man about it...

I agree, own up to it. Readings that high will be hard to explain away and nobody will believe it anyway, most likely. Ask Barry Bonds. If the test is for a job, like law enforcement.... ouch.

Sounds like your friend got caught using nandrolone (19-norandrosterone). It's metabolites are 19-norepiandrosterone (what you are calling 19-nor-androsteron) and 19-noretiocholanolone.

There has been much research and speculation regarding false postives for nadrolone since the late 90s. See: Urine nandrolone metabolites: false positive doping test?

in sweden u go to jail for maximum of 2 years for use selling and possesion.

i eriler said 6,5mg/l but it eas wrong i meant 6,5ng/ml as it now says.

Are prohormones legal there? Anything like that?

There are still lots of legal pro-hormones nutrion shops are selling. Just have him look a bunch up and say he was using those.

Good idea with the prohormones, if they are legal where he is. Both 19-norandrostenediol (19-Diol) and 19-norandrostenedione (19-NorAndro) would definitely produce a positive test result for Nandrolone metabolites.

Why and where was he tested?

You wont go to jail for simple use in Sweden. Even possesion is just a fine for "low" amounts.

You could just blame some legal supplements you ordered from the US. Or just say the supplements must have been contaminated. It has happened before so it's not unreasonable, although they wont believe you of course.

Speaking of Sweden, I have a great friend that I used to train with who was from Sweden. He told me they called anabolics "dumb birdseed" in Sweden years ago. Ever heard of that? I thought that was pretty funny.
