Help with eating in the morning!! stomach problems?

It seems like my first meal or two are very hard for me to keep down. Ill eat and then im burping, sometimes almost gagging because it isnt settling right at all! Hungry or not, when i eat that first meal its like my stomach doesnt know how to take it.

anyone have any suggestions?
know why this could be happening?

My morning meal is usually a protein shake(1 scoop) with a banana or some oatmeal.(im 250 6'3 and i know that is not near enough for a meal when off season but my stomach is having a very hard time with that). after 2 or 3 meals i have no problem getting down 8 oz meat, 75-100 g carbs, and 14-28g fat per meal.

i am taking digestive enzymes, they arent helping for in the morning.

anybody got any ideas? this is driving me crazy!
 
are you taking supplements before eating, after eating ?
 
Check with your Doc if you have a ulcer
 
I have the same problem. GHRP-6 works for me...thats the only thing I ever found that can override the morning nausea I get when trying to eat more than a bowl of cereal and protein shake.

If you take your protein shake last you can also add some dextrose and peanut butter that will add much needed calories.
 
hey chris, supplements after eating.

yea i may have to check with my doc i guess.
 
YEA check with doc maybe get an endoscopy. possible ulcer, or hiadal hernia will make you chunk food. i did for 2 years.

Wow, finally someone else who has been having the same problem! I thought I was the only one. I'm not anywhere near your size, but I've had the same problem and just haven't been able to eat in the morning. I've suspected a little too much acid and have experienced a little relief by taking OTC Prilosec. I haven't tried digestive enzymes.

You guys are not alone, i too have the same problem. Its terrible in the morning, i feel sick, i can keep food down, but sometimes i progress through my meal VERY SLOWLY, and sometimes even stop for a while. i dont know why i never thought about going for an endoscopy. i went to my doc, and he honestly just put me on pepto bismol for 2 weeks. it sometimes happens during the day too (the nausea), but its usually in the morning.
definitely get to your doctor again, and ask for an endoscopy.. i should do the same.
 
are you eating a large meal before bed? i notice when i have a good size meal close to bed i am not usually hungry in the morning, i dont know, try going to bed with just enough food in the gut to not be hungry and get to sleep
 
I feel for all of you guys...ever since I had my gallbladder removed my stomach has been a mess.

I've always got some sort of IBS going on...:mad:
 
I use to have that as well.. I would sip on some coffee something that chills you out and just take a bit to mellow out in the morning and eat slow don't think about the nutrients just yet like you need 10 eggwhites or you'll shrink. Get over the stomach digesting part first. Now this might not work for you maybe its a medical condition but i just took it slow eating a waffle and a shake just kinda taking my time. Hope this might help you out.
 
Try to make your first meal (Breakfast) drinkable. My first meal of the day is oatmeal, supplements, whey protein all in a shaker bottle with water (Or milk if you are so inclined). I use to have the same problem as you and when i started doing this i can down as much as i can fit into my shaker bottle. I put in the dry oats, whey protein, and anything else i want for that meal. Shake it up and drink. Yeah the oatmeal has to be kinda chewed or chunky but this is the best way for me to get it all down. If you need to add your banana then you will probably have to blend it.
 
i have had this problem since being a child ,i have ibs and mornings are hell for me ,feel so sick and lethargic till mid after noon .

eating on a morning makes me feel ill and i just have to force it down
 
I think the problem is with the protein shake being taken in the morning and he is getting bloated and gaseous because of the shake. I was like that until I used the Synthetek Liver Cleaner Synthergine. I had a hard time digesting my protein shakes as I would feel gaseous and stomach felt uncomfortable for about 4 hours. I am on my 2nd week of Synthergine and I have no problems with my protein shake in the morning and I am constantly hungry compared to before where I would have to force feed myself.

It just could be that your liver is stressed and needs to be cleaned, this really has helped me.
 
yes mine was liver and enzyme related
 
I have the same problem. I cant have 2 coked eggwhites i wanna throw up.
Anything i have in the AM makes me bloated and sick.
 
Have you tried a hot ginger tea first thing in the AM? Ginger is great for soothing the stomach, indigestion and nausea

I occasionally have morning nausea and it takes time to even sit up.
Ginger root caps are kept beside my bed if I feel I am going through a rough stint.

Note that since my quality of sleep has improved I have not had this problem again.
