how long to loose 10 pounds???

yeah so this is probably a stupid question so bare with me. i've been working out for years now. the last year being serious. i've made some great gains. but on feb 1 i turned 21 and entered some crazy alcohol binge. i drank literally every day for a month and didn't go to the gym at all. i know, poor decision. shit happens though. i pulled myself together. so i'm back at the gym, strength is back to where it was when i left. but now i have a "beer belly." my stomach sticks out farther then my chest and i'm not liking that at all. i've never had any problems with fat before till now, and i never do cardio. so my question is, what's the most effective way to get rid of this and how long will it take. what do i just gotta run on the treamill for 20 minutes a day for like 3 weeks and watch my carbs? i know everybody's different. if i had to describe my body type i would say i'm an ecto-mesomorph. so there it is a stupid question, fantastic huh? any feedback would be appreciated though.
 
I'd think if you stop drinking and ate clean all the time your body would regulate itself to returning to its previous state. I've seen it happen with myself after having similar unfortunate binges. Cardio is good for you anyways and should be done regardless of your dietary goals.
 
yeah it's definitely the beer that did it. massive amounts of beer. i don't plan on drinking for awhile i had my fun. as for my diet i always eat good. haven't touched any type of fast food in about 3 years. so i'll just stop the drinking, and do some cardio sounds easy enough.
 
that beer gut is an illusion, if you were just doing a massive amount for a month.. your bloated with carbonated water and carbs.. just like if you drank a crap load of sodas.. drink a buttload of water,cut your sodium and take a laxative.. you gut will be gone and your energy levels will be through the roof.. water weight is the easiest to get rid of, that's why when people start a diet they lose 10 pounds sometimes in a week..
 
well i notice that my stomach is just sticking out but there's not much fat around it. like i can still see my abs to an extent. it's like i gained fat inside my stomach and it's just pushing it out or something i don't know if that makes sense. so really it will just vanish if i stay away from the beer? nice.
 
Depends on how fat you are starting out, whether youre talking about just weight or fat, age, sex, etc.
 
well unless you were drinking it by the kegs everyday.. you at most gained 2 to 3 pounds... maybe, depending on your body type and metabolism... as some say, this is the Bitch side of you... Being bloated isn't just for the women, it is for the men who neglect themselves and eat and drink whatever they want.. I personally have what my wife likes to tease me about, she says I have a bitch body, if I don't drink my reqiured amount of water, and if I drink more than two sodas a day, I hold water and get bloated... so I stay away from it.. also depending on your diet during the last month, if you were eating a lot od fatty, high carb food, while drinking.. your litterly so full of shit, it is amazing your not green.. take the next week and detox your body and you wll be pleasantly surprised..
 
yea you sound bloated. Take sharksden's advice. I get that way too after drinking. Granted you are taking in an insane amount of cals for no reason so im sure you did put on fat, but if your metabolism is like you said, you should be able to drop that by the time you wash all the bloating out. Im dieting for a show right now and i actually get the same way after my carb load day. Im back to normal in 24 hrs but even though its not fat by stomach still looks bigger.
 
well on average i was drinking about 15 beers a day. for about 35 days. that's like 525 beers haha. and the entire time i wasn't working out, and i was eating very little food. like seriously i would eat like a bowl of cereal a day just because i knew i had to get food in me. i really screwed up. i actually impressed myself at the gym because i managed to get all of my strength back and for some reason i gained more strength in some areas in less then 10 days. i'm happy about that. and i don't have the type of body that gains fat easily. hopefully i'm just bloated.

well depending on body type, what you take in is a killer to your body.. I mean water is a natural diuretic.. I cleans you of most toxins in your body.. you get most of you fluids from mtn. dew. I think the figures are every 7 grams of carbs in a soda equal a teaspoon of sugar.. so basically every serving of mtn due is like 3 teaspoons of sugar, its got caffeine, but sugar is what is hyping you up.. and what most people don't realize is you body doesn't really register liquid calories as much and food calories.. so what do you think your body does with all the carbs , stores them...
I drink two diet sodas with mid day meal and lunch.. I cut most carbs after 1.. but I also am at work by 6 so my day ends earlier than most..
besides what I take in with food, there are certain things I do when dieting.. supplmentation, butt loads of water, and try and detox whole system every 3 weeks.. helps keep my metabolism stoked at peak level..

I just a temporary bloated feeling from basically where you fill your stomach up in fast amount of time... kind oflike eating a freaking buffet.. celltech does that to me.. I can't really say on the protein drinks cause I never drink them.. I personally don't like chocolate flavors.. I drink the IDS NEW WHEY.. same amount of protein just less quanities..

well depending on your weight 64 oz.. to 1 gallon a day to start... your body will tell you when you have had yur limit
like I tell a lot of clients.. two of best things you can do is drink your water and piss regularly.and eat tones of fiber so you shit regularly
