I've done a blood work last week and my BUN has elevated a bit. I want to know if is there a way to lower it a bit.

I've done some research and found that arginine and increase water intake can help. Do you have any other tips or tricks ?

It generally means you are breaking down too much protein for energy, are you dieting or eating a very high amount of protein?

It all depends... is it pre-renal or renal . Could be your liver or kidneys ...I would check it out with your doc. How's your creatinine levels? If it's pre-renal.... cut down on your protein intake

My protein intake is around 1.5-2g per pound of body weight. Not dieting nor taking any super-supplement.

According to my blood work here's my creatinine levels : 0.99mg/dl

creatinine seems to be towards the high end of normal but normal none the less <1.1. Theres so many factors , dehydrated , high protein intake, liver/kidney function. Run it by your doc see what he says.

Let me guess.............you take a pre workout stimulant drink.

No stimulants pre-workout but lots of coffe tough the day. This is my personal addiction.

Yes, I know the need to lower caffeine intake.

In the next few weeks I'll try to lower my coffee intake and up my water intake a bit. Let's see what happens.
