Was wondering if it's okay to run IGF-1 and PEG MGF while on a zero carb, high fat, moderate protein diet? I know that IGF-1 is Insulin-like Growth Factor, so should I avoid fats while using it like with Insulin? If so, what is a good diet for use with IGF-1 and PEG MGF when one is looking to lose fat?

If you're looking to lose fat, get some hGH. Most say it's best for fat loss, with or without AAS. If you use IGF1 on a zero carb diet, you'll pay for it. Wherever did you pick up a diet such as all fat, no carbs and some protein. ?? Are you planning on eating pure butter? You're looking at losing weight all wrong from all directions.

lmfao@ butter.... thats a nasty thought...anyway, Putin hit the nail on the head. Also you will more than likely go hypo on IGF without any carbs.

There is nothing wrong with that diet at all reall. Just take out the IGF1. Thats very similar macros to the Dave Palumbo diet. Just make sure you have a BIG carb up day (7th day of week)

So will the IGF act like insulin and store a bunch of the extra fat that I am eating or not?

If so, what is a more appropriate diet to stimulate fat loss when using IGF?

Maybe a more even balance of low GI carbs and protein combined with low fat (10-20%) and a restricted number of calories?

Do not use IGF1 when cutting its as simple as that. You are going to need ALOT OF CALORIES for all the extra cells you are creating. IGF1 is for bulking or periods in between cycles. Save it for later. You will not be eating enough during a diet.

I would disagree with you on that Zuke...IGF is an excellent tool when cutting as well as bulking or for pct. If you keep your diet in check and have the correct amount of carbs pwo, IGF will help spare muscle loss while cutting.

Ketosis diet, omg. Did you think about what will happen after you come off it? Being in shape is a lifestyle. Everything in life is "maintenance", nothing is permanent.

Hmmm, I see where you are coming from. I have never looked at it that way. Good points Enanth. I old think there would be better produts to spare muscle. I always look at IGF1as "Hyperplasia Tool" and nothing more. Maybe I have tunnel vision.

Can anyone answer my questions? I know that IGF is an effective tool for fat loss. I just don't know if it would work with a ketosis type diet. Maybe Gavin Kane who writes about IGF and fat loss on a 4Xday, 3days/wk schedule could weigh in here.

IGF will make you go hypo, so you will need carbs after injecting it. PWO you shouldnt be consuming fats either so I dont believe that taking IGF PWO should make you fat like slin. I dont know anyone who has tried a keto diet while taking IGF. My opinion would be that as long as you had the initial carbs immediately after and then lean protein and had a high fat/high protein diet they wouldnt shuttle fats like they would with slin. I think it would be ok...Just keep your carbs as low as possible pwo. You can try to experiment a little with this using as little carbs as possible. Technically you should only be taking enough to combat going hypo. Anyone else any thoughts on this?

We all get that way bro!!!

Even though I am leery about using IGF1 for cutting. You would have to take a good amount of carbs after. See its just bad news. BUT i would like to hear results. It would be interesting to hear what and expert like Gavin would say. I am thinking he would only use it as in a 'bulk" or "cuise" period.

GK does use it for cutting as well, that I know. Zuke what would you consider a reasonable amount of carbs for 50mcg pwo of IGF? I have gotten away with as little as 60g of carbs without going hypo. After that I would ingest 40-50g of whey followed up an hour later with lean protein and have not gone hypo while cutting.

I started taking the IGF this week, and I've been going as close to zero as I can. I know Wednesday I had 23 grams of carbs, 6 were fibre, and Thursday was 8 grams of carbs, 2 were fibre. Forgot to enter my diet info into Fitday on Monday and Tuesday, but Wednesday was definitely the highest carb day of the week. I've had no problems with hypo yet. PWO I always have a shake of 10g BCAA's, 5g Glutamine, 50g hydrolyzed and Ion-Exchange Whey blend (trueprotein). I also have a pre-workout shake that is the same plus 2g of Acetyl-L-Carnitine and 1 scoop of cycle support (AnabolicInnovations). Right now I've been taking 600mg/wk testE for 5 weeks. I just started the IGF this week, and I was going to take my first shot of PEG MGF this Sunday. I've also got a blood glucose monitor and ketostix that I use to monitor myself.

Also, the protein blend is sweetend with stevia, and I've been using stevia sweetened micellar cassein protein with an Omega 3-6-9 oil (Udo's) once before bed, and once after four hours of sleep.

IGF obviously is not as effective as slin for lower glucose levels so maybe you can get away with whey protein for pwo without going hypo. Protein will raise your glucose levels as well, just not as quickly or dramtically as glucose.

Forgot, I'm 5'6", 29 years old, started at 212lbs, currently 215lbs. I was at about 210 and 8% in August'06, but I broke some ribs and was layed up for a few months. I put on alot of fat and lost a good bit of muscle, so I think I'm at about 15% now.
