igf-1 prices

Why is there such a huge difference in prices. i see many companies selling 1mg of igf for around $120 (with many users being totally satisfied) and then i see other companies selling 1mg of igf for $300. I thought all igf came from the same company, or something like that. please fill me and others in. thank you!

I am currently writing an article to help dispel some of the confusion between prices. Companies that offer low priced IGF are selling media grade. There are very few companies that can afford to offer receptor grade, the pricing to buy in bulk is prohibitive for all but the largest companies.

The other problem comes in that only Gropep is licensed to use or sell IGF to companies for research use, either media or receptor. The chinese are now manufacturing it and Gropep is going after them for licensing infringement. You can be assured the Chinese don't care since this type of lawsuit take too long in court to fight, while the whole time the Chinese are cashing out on cheap igf that is flooding the market.

So what is the major difference between receptor and media? The amount of bioavailability. You body forms anti-bodies against the media grade rather quickly, hence the need to stop using it in such a short amount of time. Receptor grade generally does not have this problem.

Media grade generally requires as much as 80mcg to equal 20-30mcg of real Gropep receptor grade igf. So if you start to do the math you can see that a $120 bottle of media grade is not cheaper to use than a $300 bottle of receptor since you have to use up to 3-4x as much to get the same results.

This is just the tip of the iceberg and very limited information. As stated, I am writing a full article to dispel the myth. I only use receptor grade for a host of reasons and recommend you do the same.

Thank you AP. You are the man. Looking forward to the article. I've been sort of studying igf-1 and the treatment of TypeII diabetes for my Dad. Looks like some promising research on that front.

You are correct. There is very promising research on diabetes and igf. I have doing a lot of research on this very subject. I hope to have more info to post on it in the future.

True, media grade works...I have never denied that. But just imagine how incredible the results would be with less product and less money overall with receptor grade.

Does anyone know if ChemOne offers media or receptor grade? How about IBE?

They both have media grade but if you are going to buy media those are the only two places I would shop. Chem has a great kit with acetic acid and NaCL for perfect reconstitution and I can't say enough good things about IBE and their quality of products and service.
