So, last night around 2am (dont ask me why i was up)... Im checking out Youtube and found this little video.
Have you ever been the gym and shorted yourself? You know, you could have done that extra rep but didnt, you could have added a set, but didnt, the intesity just wasnt there. I had one of those days yesterday...
So anyway, to make a long storey short... I watched the video at 2am...but 2:30am I was back at the gym to finish my workout. My wife thought i was a bit off, if you know what i mean, but it just had to be done. I should have slept, but it was just eating at me...
Anyway, I am also coming to realize that lifting is the easy part... the diet is the hard part. I love the weights, its my escape from reality, the time I just zone out and push myself. As for the diet.... I feel like all i do is eat, that my day is revolves around when I can get in the meals i need to get in to get to my 300-350g protein or 500g carbs (not as easy as one might think). I do my best to only eat when I feel my body is ready to eat, that i have some sort of hunger...but if too much time passes, i get worried that i wont fit it all in. (ever wish Tuna was candy flavored . )
So, although Jay does represent the "the life of bodybuilding", I wish someone would make a video about the food sacrifies that are made, that the simple fact is that i dont get a snickers because i want one, I dont get to have a coke, or go eat some fries... while the rest of society is at McDonalds, Im at the store, buying chicken and Tuna...for the 4th time this week....oh and the eggs... man i just love having them every morning.
But you know something... i wouldnt go back... at the end of the day... I love this shit! I know i have a LONG ASS way to go, that most likely I will never hit get anywhere close to the image i see in my head everyday, but everyday is one step closer. Everyday I get stronger and leaner, and my body changes just a little bit.... it may not be noticable, but there is a change and if i put enough of those days together... i will start to show improvements and change my overall apperance.
(as I sit here, eating my 10 egg whites, 1 cup of oatmeal, banana, and energy drink and all i can think is...what's next on my list)
Anyway, just a rant...sorry for the novel...)
