It's been a little while since I've been on PM, glad to see a bunch of familiar guys and a ton of new guys.
Had to take a hiatus for my business and life in general. Closed my business down last August and could not be happier with that decision. Started a new position and am working from home 3 days a week and on the road the other 2 for about half the day traveling. This has allowed me to spend more time with my kiddos who are now 13.5 and 10. Won't have them around forever, so this extra time I get to spend with them each day has been amazing.

My wife and I sold our first home a few yrs back and built our dream home in a small community on the lake. During that time, I didn't have a ton of motivation for hitting the gym. The stress from the business, building a new home, it took its toll on me. We've been in our new house for 2.5 yrs, I built a small garage gym with just the basics to get back at it. I can't fill it like I want, need to park the cars lol.
Was sporadically working out over the Summer, got my son started lifting to try to gain some strength and size. I really wasn't motivated, so my workouts were lackluster and inconsistent. Cleaned up my diet recently and hitting the gym pretty hard, natty right now. Trying to focus on diet right now to shed BF while getting adequate kcals to not lose a ton of muscle.
Need bloodwork as I'm closing in on 42 and just know my levels are low. Wife isn't a fan of AAS, she's mainly worried because of my addictive personality.
I really am looking for TRT and will add low dose GH with some NPP for joints. Have ran that in the past with fantastic results

I am thrilled to be back on the boards and have thoroughly enjoyed reading a ton of the new threads.

Tell me about it! Last time I ran it was 5-6 yrs ago, saw the current market price and was shocked. Add local and it's still cheaper than it was then, got me itching to pull the trigger to stash it. Waiting for TP to restock and will have to, can't pass up the price

Appreciate it and I'm happy to be back! Got too soft for my liking, which I've noticed happens when I'm away from the board. Time to turn the furnace back on and get my ass in shape
 
Correct me if I am wrong, but weren't you a past baseball player? By the way, welcome back.
 
Would t run npp for your joints. I get none of those benefits from npp that I do from deca. I actually think it dries my joints at as well.

Also glad you were able to find the motivation for the gym again. I think TRT and HGH would do you well, especially since your test and IGF levels are probably low from age-related decline. You'll feel better, and your results will be significantly better, which can enhance your motivation even more. It's also not physically addictive, so your wife shouldn't worry about that--its not like you stop it and will start having physical withdrawal symptoms. But psychologically it can be addictive--seeing the progress, fat loss, muscle gain, strength gains. It can lead to the feeling of wanting more but if you just stick to TRT and replacement doses of gh, or slightly above replacement doses you'll be fine.

Another note on motivation: getting your kids into lifting (or wife into lifting) will definitely help your motivation, plus it can lead to increase accountability where you hold each other to the workouts and diet. That was my only regret with lifting--starting at 18, and not at 14. Those 4 extra years of learning would have been huge. Your one son is kind of at that age where he could benefit from lifting, and he'd have you to help coach/mentor him so that he can learn proper form and avoid ego lifting and injuries (something most people experience early on in their lifting career before getting smarter about the training). That's something i wish I had when I started (a mentor). Had to learn through a lot of trial, error, and failure

NPP has done wonders for my joints in the past, mainly my knees

He's been lifting, it's more geared towards baseball so strength focused.
The thing with my wife is she is concerned about me becoming hyper focused on lifting, which I understand. It's in my personality to hyper focus on things, I have worked over the last few years to not do that. But, I don't think a focus on health is a bad thing, but some things can be overdone. I am an addict through and through. Have to find the happy medium
