have you ever tried to do that? i'm working on it for about 2 weeks, but it's still a long way to go (maybe it works better when dieting)
Vacuum is a matter of ribcage position. The more "open" the ribcage is - the better vacuum. Also its about abs controll. Ribcage position can be influenced by training....there is an old technique for opening your lower ribs and repositioning the sternum - breathing squats. Heavy squats immediatelly followed by pullovers over the bench with emphasise to stretch in the top position. Sometimes followed by the vacuum....but this exercise only works till you are still in puberty - lets say till 16/17. Old people have no chance to fully use this thing.
I know because when I started as 14yo kid some old bodybuilder told me to do that and my ribcage opened and widened pretty well. Bad side of it is my ribs time to time.pop out of my sternum and I need chiropractor or massage therapist to put them back
Well I have no idea how big predisposition I had. My hubby has vacuum and he never trained it (expanding). I noticed my chest opened a bit. I think till puberty your bones are still not fully "closed" and there is also certain plasticity in your ligaments, however when all is set - one can not change the bone structure anymore....
It's very unusual for someone his size to be able to do it.. as Bio said it used to be incorporated into most routines 25 to 30 years ago.. the bigger the guys got the less and less ya saw it..
It used to be incorporated into posing routines. You don't see it anymore because of the large waists that are seen today and the inability to pull it off. I think Juan looks great!
WOW!
I didn't think that look was achievable! Insane!
