KRIS DIM HOSPITALIZED

. apparently kris dim was training today and collapsed.. they called for a ambulance and rushed him into emergency surgery to repair a split in his aortic valve (anyuerysm)... he had some massive bleeding and thought he would be paralyzed from the extent of the bleeding / stroke.. but, he is out of surgery and is moving everything and coherent.. i wish him a speedy recovery.. patients that suffer from this have a 40% chance of dying immediately and usually a 20% chance of not surviving immeditate sugery.. so he is beating the odds now.. i think actor / comedian john ridder died from this.. i could be wrong..

damn man I wish Kris all the best. Ive talked to him a number of times when he owned the Max Muscle right near my house here in Sacramento, and I trained at the same gym as him, until he recently opened up his own personal training gym downtown. Extremely nice and talkative guy. That is real sad to hear, but I'm glad hes doin ok.

called my neighbor (the doc ) and asked him about it.. i found numerous articles on the web but, wanted him to explain.. the first thing he said "that is what john ritter died from..".. so i was right there.. i thought i had heard about the condition before.. but, he said kris is not out of the woods yet.. 1 in 3 will still not make it out of the hospital despite all the new techniques out there to help rememdy the condition.. he said, it is extremely hard to detect and is know as a "silent killer".. ritter died because most will treat it as a heart attack which it is not.. the person dies from bleeding out.. as stated before , a anuerysm.. a sudden increase in blood pressure and a weakened aortic valve wall can spell death very quickly.. proper diagnoses and immediate surgery is the only way a person can beat the odds.. he said the split is hard to fix and that is what causes a high death rate even after the surgery.. 10,000 will die each year.. so keep the fingers crossed and say a prayer for kris..

It is this sort of news that scares the hell out of me. I guess too often we dont realize just how mortal we are, and that disaster can strike at any time. The whole "ticking time bomb" concept really hits home. I wonder if he had any symptoms before the blow out occured? I wish him a rapid recovery, and hope he can return to life as it was before this happened.

I'VE HAD PEOPLE CLOSE TO ME GET HOSED BY STUFF LIKE THIS. ONE DAY THEY ARE YOUNG, HEALTHY [AS FAR AS ANYONE KNOWS] AND THE NEXT DAY..WHAM. IT'S OVER.

John Ritter actually was in a studio across the street from an Emergency Room when it happened to him. Aortic Anuerysm symptoms are characterized by a shearing abdominal and lower back pain. There is a weakened portion of the Aorta that, hold on...............read through all of the sections:signs,symptoms etc...

i havee continued to prayer for Kris.. and his family. i have had the pleasure off meeting him at the Sac Pro last year.. what a nice guy... he is young only 33 =(
