Laser hair removal

I have decided to research laser hair removal and have it done in march.

Anyone had it done? How much does it cost? Risks? How long will it last?

Also, since I am not a competing BBr, can they contour you so as to keep some hair in an attractive way, or would that look stupid ???

Never had it done but I'll give some input. You will get mixed reviews. Some say it grows back and others say it doesn't. I know someone who had it done and it did grow back. Laser works best on fine, light colored hair. Also there are different types of lasers. Google laser hair removal forums and go to the forum. All of your questions will be answered. Its been a while since I went to that forum so I don't remember all of the details.

had it done did not do anything really accept slow down growth in between treatments. if your taking any type of hormones it may not even be worth trying it because results will be less impressive.

The price will vary from laser center to center and from area to area, so you have to shop around. Risk is burning the skin and so on. It worked for me but I did a number of treatments and over time I noticed that my hair was sort of fading away. I stopped before I finished but if I could afford it I'd try it again. Like the other poster said check out the forums.

I've done it, but if you are planning on cycling then its a waste of money cause the hair will grow back. At least it did for me.

I have had laser hair removal before and it does work. However, some of the hair did grow back but the hair was not as think, it was much finer and thin. If you're thinking about doind the laser hair removal, I would say do it. For me it was worth it.

Every time you have it done, about 1/10th of the hair is actually "permenently damaged" and will never grow back.

All of the hair in the area lasered falls out over the next week, then in about 3-6 weeks, the hairs that were not "killed" start to grow back. After about 6 sessions, most of the hairs are gone and they usually charge $25 to have these touched up if you went through all 6 proceedures,

Hormone fluctuations can always cause new hair follicles to activate, so it is not "permenent" in that sense.

Fancy places can charge $400 for the bikini area. Cut rate places with the same machine can charge $150. Shop shop around.

I would love to have the $8,000 to go to school and purchase the machine. I would love zapping people pubic har all day

A freind of mine had it done (he has a hairy back)... he did around 3 sessions and they told him he needed atleast 10... the guy said it was so painful and worthless he just told them to fuck off (hair grew back pretty quick)

My wife had it done a while ago and has gone a couple times for a follow up. Initially, it was $1800 (total) for five sessions for both the underarm and bikini area and is/was $75 per area for each follow up visit. Every now and then she gets a few strays, but all-in-all, it looks good and she is very happy with it.

They now have a cold laser that blows cold and people dont even feel it--they say that you dont even have to numb now. She has absolutely no regrets. Even the now and then touch ups are worth the money. No razor burn, etc.
