Me and the woman were in Disney World all last week and had a blast I must say. I love being a bodybuilder walking in a place like disney LOL! I get more attention than the mouse! Anyway, I was in our hotel (The Contemporary) on site, and I was wearing GAP Kaki Shorts with a nice fitting shirt, looking like a hitler youth. I was down in the arcade area getting something to eat , when I passed this man (about mid to late 50's) walking with his what appeared to be his grandson. As I walk pass him he says" Nice steroids bro"! at first it took a sec or two to register WTF this Mother fucker said! I stopped and said "EXcuse ME?!" he just turned around kinda shocked that either I heard him or was about to call his ass out! I said hey, "your lucky the little boy is with you old man, You got more nerve than sense!" he basically turned right around and kept walking, not that I would have beat his viagra taking ass, but what fucking nerve! It tell you that old man had me fired up, but shook it off and went upstairs to our room, and when I got up there, the woman was in 7inch thigh high stripper boots..so needless to say I forgot about his comment. The next day I thought about it more, and just thought how fucking stupid people really are. If all you had to do was take steroids to look like I do or anyone else here. I would have seen a shit load of Bodybuilders in Florida. never mind the 15 yrs of hardcore training I have done, and eating like a horse, etc. etc. etc. anyway thanks for hearing my VENT!

Man that would pissed me off too, but I try to take things like that as a compliment sortof & it shows that theyre obviously jealous. Other people notice that as well. As the saying goes "If everybody likes you then youre doing something wrong"....let the hatin bitches hate while you improve your life

been there and i know what your talking about. not that im anywhere near as big as you. i think the root of a comment like that is to try and minimize your obvious achievement and it makes a person who says a comment like that feel a little better about themselves cause they would never be able to look like you. so in order to make it better for themselves they have to make you look as if your wrong, or cheating or as if you did something ludacris to get into your type of condition.

they dont know the work, and the guts and sacrifice and never will. i really dont think there is anything you can say to something like that. other than ignoring it. which i might add takes even more sacrifice, self control than they will ever understand.

The assumption is...

The assumption by these people (and most of the "public") is that a man with muscles has nothing else. No brain. no persona;ity, no other dimensions to his existance.

This is, of course, absurd, but it allows those who are basically powerlass (and deep down know it) to feel smug and superior for just a moment.

I recently started a new job as the lead fitness consultant at a big ass sporting goods store. My job is to help people choose equipment that would be best for the customer's needs and also to help design their programs. I am in charge of the other employees in my area and I get little comments like that a lot. The other day one of my sales people said, "what did you take to get that big?" I said, "I took 15 years busting my ass in the gym, I took 6 meals a day with up to 1000 calories per meal and I took the torchure that's required to build this much mass." He just looked at me like he understood how stupid his question was.

Another guy asked, "How much do you bench?". I just smiled and said, "More than all of you put together." Hehe, there was 4 of them.

and embarassed him too. You know where it all comes from - inadequet self esteem and jealously on their part.

Glad you kept your head about it and didn't do anything rash. That's the most important thing. You have to realize that people see us and they immediately get jealous. They need to believe that there's something "wrong" about what we do. They don't have the motivation, desire, or drive to spend countless pain-filled hours sweating their asses off in stinky gyms and then go home only to take stock of everything they eat in terms of protein, carbs, fats. Thay are lame! Period... End of story...

Yeah I have run into this attitude a lot, even in my own family. Everyone feels like they need to have something up on me. However i don't get that attitude much anymore. Now they mostly envy or resent me. I have accomplished everything I said I would in the last 7 years.

So, to all those people who have said or implied that I am doing something wrong, or wasting my time, or amounting to nothing: To all of you fat lazy, go nowhere, do nothing, have nothing to offer except bad advice, looser hypocrites, I say;
Hah! I have it all. Literally, I have it all; A perfect woman (the most important thing in my life). A family; (the wife and my 2 sons). Money (more than any of them) A Career (with a future). Most importantly I have this: Love of life, everyday! I am the happiest person I know (the wife and I)
I wake up every morning feeling blessed.

People are ignorant to no end. I work in a bar and there's this kid that comes in from time to time and works when he's in town from school. He's all of 18-19 and full of himself. Good size kid and fairly athletic. But he's telling me about his wrestling and how he took 4th in state. But the kid he wrestled was a juicer. I jumped his shit and got pretty pissed. I was curious how he could make a comment like that and mean it. Did he see him take something, did this kid tell him that he took something? No. People think that it's so easy just pop and grow like it's magic. People are fucking stupid. I've never really thought that I was better than others, but more and more everyday I'm starting to think so. Just cause he gets beat this kid is on juice. What a crock of shit. People need to learn to suck it up and deal with there inadequcies(sp), and do something about it if they don't like it.

Yep, same thing happened to me this weekend at my sons wrestling match, like its some magic potion or something...I just blow it off,most of those pin heads arn't worth the trouble.....GF
