I am glad you posted that pic, Phidias.....cracks me up. It captures her personality very well. I got to see her for the first time in a month.

The first thing she says to me is...you feel so skinny...as she was giving me a big hug.

I won't see much of her for the next few years, but I do miss her. She's so busy with homework that I don't think she'll be on the board much. I looked at the homework she was doing yesterday [math formulas for the spread of infectious diseases in HIV patients in Thailand]. I made the comment- "It looks like a different language!"

She said, "It is a different language...It's called Math." lol

Maybe I don't miss her that much!

Personally I know that keeping her in my mind is the safest way to get my feet back on the ground when I start feeling too smart (yeah it happens sometimes ) or becoming too arrogant towards others less blessed.

I come on this board and compare myself to all the outstanding physiques and am humbled.

I encounter someone like Meredith who is talented in an area of study in which I am weak.....and I am humbled again!

I live in this beautiful country where we are free and have need of nothing and once again I realize how much I have been given...and I am humbled.

I'll tell you what you should be worried about, Phidias....I often think about YOU! Now that's scary! lol. I am glad you and Meredith are close.
