lots of fishing and canoeing in the area. largemouth bass are my favorite to catch. as far as sports for my son, not really. he's tried baseball, fencing, and basketball but didn't stay with any of them for long. lately we've been doing archery and so far he enjoys it very much . he loves to swim and works out at the gym with me 2-3 times a week. on weekends we love to hike and take photos of our adventures.

Just outside Buffalo Ny. It's not all about blizzards here. Lots of creeks and streams running into Lake Erie and the Niagara River. Great for fishing, boating, great camping within an hour or 2 and yes plenty of winter sports but that's the time of year I burn out my dvd player. lol

I use to love fishing in the creeks back east. Sounds to me your son is pretty active. I did Archery, when I was his age.

A son really needs a man to show them what a "real man" is all about... they learn more by observation. It's great you have some quality time with him on a regular basis... he'll look back and really appreciate that when he's older. Some of my best memories is simply throwing the baseball back and forth in the back yard with my Dad- the only hero I've ever had.
