I am the rep for one of the biggest MT2 corps here in the U.S. Just to put a few myths about the use to rest so that other people can be aware of just how it is supposed to be used.
First of all, know your skin type. Type 1 is almost milk white, never tan, but burn. (red heads, etc..) This is what the original guidelines and dosing chart for MT2 use was established by. That is why when you hear of daily doses in the 2mg range, it is awfully high for the average user.
Type 2 and 3 will need a lower dose.
The most common route is a 10 day loading phase of 1mg daily. No tanning or sun during this time. After loading for 10 days at 1mg, there is a 10 day continuous phase of 1mg where you tan/sun. You use this phase to determine how well you adjust to it. After 10 days (20th overall, but 10th day of tanning/sun) I recommend falling to an EOD pattern of 1mg with NO sun/tan for 5 days. Reason being is that some people find themselves still getting darker after the initial 10 days with no sun involved. You then continue on the EOD pattern until the color that is best for you is achieved. And then it is a 1mg weekly (.5mg 2x) for maintenance. Notice I said that the color that is best for you. Not the color you want. Some people simply go overboard and start looking like old shoe leather. Sort of like Hogan in his peak WWE years.
Now, that is the most common route to take. However, the route I suggest for people I work with is as follows :
.5mg daily for 3 weeks straight, start tan/sun exposure in LIMITED amounts after the first 7 days. Maintenance is still 1mg (.5mg 2x weekly) after your color is achieved which is easy to judge after three weeks.
it is better to start low and use a moderate dose. Those people that rush things are the ones that find the side effects to onset the quickest. Dark spots -which MT2 does not cause new spots, only darken existing ones. One you never probably knew you had - and discolored gums, etc..
Pay special attention to the back of your neck, it will get dark - almost black - very fast if you are the average person who works outdoors, or hangs outside for hours at a time on weekends. Of course you can't see the back of your neck like others, so you won't notice it until it is too late.
Watch the palms of your hands and the skin around the elbows, feet and bottom of feet. You should never use so much you get a "dirty" or "dingy" look to these areas. (Remember the sunless tanning cream that always made these areas look dirty.)
It is best to take the injections at night immediately before bed, so you can sleep through the sides. The sides should never last longer than half hour. When I first start up again, I get them for about 15 mins and that is all. After the first week, they are gone. If you don't like the sides, do 2 days on PGCL and then come back and complain about MT2 being bad.
The sides themselves is the upset tummy feeling, the quick onset of a flushed feeling (like you took a dose of super niacin), uncontrollable boners (at high doses), over coloration at high doses in short times.
When using it, make sure you exfoliate in the shower and apply a moisturizer. Now you don't HAVE to, and there is really no benefit of doing so except that since you are improving the appearance of your skin (and overall body image) you might as well go an extra step with the skin care route and bring out the glow as much as you can.
The main difference between MT1 and MT2 is basically the libido enhancing effects of MT2. It is slightly purer in form and some say stronger. However, there is a big difference between US MT2 and China MT2, as there are TONS of unscrupulous sellers of MT2 that is trying to pass chinese MT2 off as US version. And they are drastically disappointing. If you do go the route with Chinese MT2, make sure you get it from one of our sponsors, Nian or AK Labs as they have proven and established a reputation of honest dealings and credibility.
I have been using this for years now. I started back when I was doing occassional photography assignments on cruise ships. I would be hired 7-9x a year to be a contract photographer for certain private charters and the trips that were in the sunny areas (Costa Rica, Panama, Caribbean, Southern Med, Hawaii, etc..) I always prepped myself for this prior to leaving and I never ever had a case of sunburn. Although my prep was just 2 weeks prior which was a short time, but that was all I needed since I had already done it once before a couple months earlier for a previous cruise. I got a lot of other contract employees that worked for the same company turned on to this and despite trying to tell them the best way to do it, I have seen quite a few do everything wrong you can think of.
