Im disappointed Mr Bolton hasn't been mentioned more, dead and squat records held at the same time back a few years ago, his bench never matched the top americans but he also held the total record as well if i remember rightly.

Ed for his power to weight most definetely, more very impressive raw guys coming through now, especially a handful of americans who seem fed up of russian raw dominace.

I'd say Ed Coan's name is most mentioned when you talk PL.

I don't care for geared lifting at all...It pisses me off that even in Strongman they are now allowing Deadlift Suits and suits for squats...So guys unsuited have to compete versus suited..and that is unfair IMO and not what our sport is founded upon.

We had a Strongman who competed in PL as well. I spotted him with a shirt at Europa. He has a 350x1 max Raw. With a shirt he had 500lbs on the bar and he couldn't even get the weight to lower to his chest bc the shirt was too strong. He managed to get it for a rep eventually by pulling the bar down...

So Frankl's 850 is meaningless to me..and so are these incredible suited totals.

However I have seen him lean rep out 405lbs RAW...that to me is impressive.

I don't count geared lifting at all.

Coan, Kaz ,Gant. Most of these guys "equipped" lifts were way closer to todays raw than to todays equipped . Why do think two lifts changed so rapidly and one more slowly. Whats the best raw bench today? low sevens? not sure have not checked lately . What was best Raw bench 30 yrs ago? low 600's ? Gary Heisey pulled 925 way the hell back in 87. I think Doyal Kennady pulled about 9 early or mid 80's.Catch my drift?
Todays guys will be legends in time too. Some are already.. T

for raw guys I would think Mikhail Koklyaev should get a mention too. He's good at nearly everything. PL, strongman, highland games etc. Just all around strong.
