need info on experienced people on HRT with good HDL

Hi guys, I was curious on people who are on HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy). I was wondering what HRT dosages or protocol you are taking? and if it has effected your HDL (good cholesterol) negatively, positively, or stayed unchanged? I realize that there other factors that can effect HDL levels. The reason I ask is I am 38 and I am thinking about HRT. And obviously when you are on HRT, it is pretty much for life.

I'm on 125mg a week and mine is unchanged for the most part. My triglycerides are lower though now.
 
On HRT, HDL is 72 and unchanged.
 
On 100mg per week my numbers were great. I was taking it with GH too during the same time.
 
28 y/o TRT.

100mg test cyp every 6 days. 250iu HCG day before injection.

BP ~110/70
Triglycerides 74
Total Cholesterol 174
HDL 43
LDL 116
Chol/hdlc ratio 4.0

The only thing that is ever elevated is my creatinine level. But it is 1.44 Range is .80-1.3

Doctor said that is normal for an athlete with high protein diet.

I do not take any supps whatsoever besides a multi. Occasionally protein powder. That's it. I rely on good food and cardio to keep everything in range.

I have been on hrt doses for a couple of years now. I cruise and blast. My cholesterol came back 140. BP came back 112/73. I think it's because I don't eat fatty foods and processed foods. No fast food. Maybe in a pinch sure. I do have pizza once a week with the kids but we cook from scratch for the most part. My readings are much higher when I'm going all out with a bulker blast but values always come back down with a few weeks once I start dieting.

150mg test cyp and 250iu's hcg 2x per week. A litte GH too

Everything is always good but hdl when im eating clean. Good total, low triglycerides, good LDL but hdl is always not great. usually 30's.
 
Depends on the individual - however...

This well-known study showed very little impact to lipid with 10 weeks @ 600mg.

10wk HDL dropped 4 pts, and LD dropped 7 pt.s and Tri dropped even further with 21 pts.

I think 125mg a week should be fine for just about anyone; though you would be wise to consider your current levels and family history.
 
I cruise at 500mg sometimes and keep hdl about 45 and ldl in the normal range(can't remeber the number but doc said it was good) triglycerides good. But to do the I had to eliminate AI's and add red yeast rice and fish oil.
 
I've been on 300mg/week before, but I'm now at 150mg/week. HDL did lower, but my LDL has always been low, too. My last cholesterol test showed me at 25 HDL and 104 LDL for a total of 129. I seem to have good genetics for naturally low cholesterol I guess.
