Well i just got chosen to be the best man in a wedding , hes been my friend since 6th grade and were like brothers , anyways his wedding is going to be a big one and an expensive one cuase both him and his lady come from wealth ,, now heres my question , as the best man i have to organize the bachelor party , i wanna do something different but i havent a clue where to begin except for maybe vegas or some trip to a nice resort or beach , heres the thing i gotta make sure its affordable to 15 other dudes so this is gonna be a tuff one , if you guys have any bachelor partys that were a great time plz share thanks , or any advice is great.

For my best friends , coming up, we are going to a golf resort for a weekend and partying and having a golf tournement.

Sounds boring but should be fun.

Something different

Something different can be fun and cheap. What about raising hell at a water park all day and hitting a cool bar afterwards or a PPV event like the UFC fight this weekend(on whatever weekend it turns out to be). Do something you used to do as kids. Is it back here(MI)? Do Cedar Point waterpark and get him a parasail and tear up Detroit. If its Winter wedding, hit Boyne for a weekend. I can promise you if you all lift you'd stand out up here. You will anyway.

2-Travelzoo.com has some great prices on flights right now, you could go anywhere really CHEAP! Just do a few fun things. You could do Vegas, or just let things happen as they may. Is this a whole weekend adventure or is it just a night? MAybe a party with many of the wedding party together and then you guys split and go to some random spot for the rest of the weekend like the Bunny Ranch LOL

couple years ago a friend of mine from high school got hitched, lol... and his bachelor party was in cancun for 3 days, there was 11 of us down there, it was a great time from what i can remember about it

V- Vegas is not a bad idea and CAN be made affordable if indeed the guys are willing to spend the coin on the plane tickets to get out there. If you call the hotel now and ask for room reservations, you might be able to get a group rate on your rooms. You guys can play golf, go to a cool place to eat, gamble a little, and do whatever you guys want to at night. As the best man you are going to have to foot a little of the bill. My friend was the best man in our pals wedding and I stood as well and we both just pretty much paid for as much as we could for us and about 20 other guys. We rented a huge bus and called the bars ahead of time so they knew we were comming. We hit up Mortons for dinner (which isnt exactly cheap) but what the heck...your buddy only gets married once (hopefully..lol). All in all you can make it work I think.

We went down to Key West last year for a few days, scheduled an Offshore fishing trip and took 2 strippers on the boat with us. That was fun...If I was on the west coast I would do the same but in Cabo. Now Im not sure if thats totally affordable but you could stay under a grand each.......

Vegas, baby! Vegas! Hard Rock Hotel on Paradise Rd. off the strip. Live music, casino, pool, hot babes... you name it.

And if your looking at a 40 and older age range, Mandalay Bay on the Boulevard would be the ticket because it's a more mature group but still kick-ass.

Well, what's affordable? For 15 guys I'm sure it will vary how much can be afforded but there are good deals on resorts on Ebay sometimes and I've used skyauction.com several times to get resorts in Cabo. You could pool your money together and rent a house somewhere. If you're leaning towards Vegas, look at craigslist.org for a weekend sublet but Vegas is about as original as a stripper and a keg.

Going on mine in three weeks. We are going on a four day cruise to the Bahamas. Talk to a sales rep with the cruise lines, they love to have groups and you can negotiaite a great price. A little weekend cruise is affordable for all. I'll tell you how it goes if I make it back alive and if I'm still getting married!!!! LOL!

Vander, I like the golf resort idea and if you MUST include some adult entertainment I'm sure a few ladies would make great caddies. Is 44 your age? You sound like a guy that still lives the Woody/Bo confrontation. That used to THE game when I was a kid(I'm 40). Now its UofM/MSU for us here. A buddy of mine had a bachelor party where they bought a big screen TV (which was given away at the end of the night) to watch a pay-per-view fight on. Followed by 5 strippers walking in and doing a lesbian show for a while and then lap-dances all night. Sounds expensive but it wasnt. They held it in someones back yard and invited enough guys that the fee per person was reasonable.
