need some help strongman training!

im new to strongman training but not bodybuilding just started with a bunch of guys doing strongman training 3x a week and body building other days we are doing 5x5 sets of different things ie: stones truck tire and what not can i get some ideas on the best training method for this it doesnt feel like enough
 
To be honest, just keep working on getting stronger. Events are fun to train but they all get easier the stronger you get. just amke sure you add in overhead work if you don't already do that

Training strongman 3x per week and doing a bodybuilding workout the other days? If you can do all that, you're not training strongman heavy enough.

Exactly!!! Bro a true strongman workout is very taxing on the body. I have tinkered with my schedule a lot. I am ab set on doing all gym lifts during the week and then do events on Saturday.

This is also because most competitions are all done in 1 day. So you need to prepare your body to do ALL this in one day

I just did my first contest a few weeks ago and was dead for 2 days.

Training was 2 heavy gym days with the occasional light session added in (went in to help ladyfriend train) with events on saturdays.
