I only knew them to shit in my parents yard back in the day...Once I lived with the gf and pets weren't allowed, we secretly rescued one and then another almost a year later....So now we have 2 cats and 2 dogs...The cats are best of friends sometimes....they snuggle...And other times the big one just bites on the small one...then she cries and I'm forced to put him on time out in one of the multiple rooms we don't use...I don't think he gets the picture cause he continues to launch an attack on the little girl at some point when I'm home.

Anyone, know how to train my big bully cat not to attack the little one...Anyways, here's the pic of them when he's cool with her...I have more pics. of them snuggling too

Is he neutered? That always took all the aggression out of the cats we had.

Tyrone, I have 2, also. One is a big fat cat and the other is slim. They follow me everywhere. My bigger cat bullies the smaller one. But lately, he is getting smarter and just avoids her when she is in that mood. Cats are territorial, so that is always going to be there. The longer you have them, they should mellow out more. I don't put my cat in another room, that would just make her madder at the other one. I just give her a mean look and tell her NO! Seems to work. Cats want alot of attention, so they will always fight for that.;)

Thanks G, I won't put the bully cat in the other room then...doesn't seem to do much anyways.

Now, to just figure out what works...Saying NO! is pretty good for when he wants to scratch on the couch...It's so funny though cause he talks back just like a little kid...He walks away just talking shit...Wish I had a video of it... LOL:D

He's getting better with her though like you said about it just taking time...I can tell because she used to have these little scabs from his claws and bites(nothing way too bad) but now it's only once in a long time that I find a little scab on her.

Yeah Jello, we had him neutered for sure! Had it done early...He still does walk around with one of his toys(we call it his gf) in his mouth and makes these funny/wierd/horny sounds...He tries to hump it but is a little unsure as to what he's doing:D:eek:

I found out that my cats are like having two kids.:D

That's funny about your Cat talking shit. E's dog does that. She is a 6 lbs Chihuahua and she gets real mouthy when she hears a noise. You tell her to be quiet and she will talk back. She has to have the last word. It's usually a low growl under her breath... just enough for you to hear.

A suggestion for helping teach your cat to obey which any cat owner knows that is wishful thinking... try a spray bottle with water. Most cats don't like water. You tell them "no" and when they don't behave spray them with the water. For most cats, they will catch on very quickly if they don't stop they get wet. Now my little girl is an exception and hard headed. It worked great on other cats I've had, but she's stubborn and I have to shake a can full of coins or something. She didn't like the noise.

If you don't want them scratching on your furniture, try some stuff called "Sticky Paws". It's a double sided tape you put on the areas the cat is trying to scratch. Their paws stick to the tape and they don't like it. They will stop scratching. Another good product is called "Soft Paws". It's little caps that go over their claws. It works really well too... just a challenge to apply them.
