NEW DEADLIFT WORLD RECORD

Benedikt Magnusson broke the world record in the deadlift at the Helsinki WPO in Finland.
He deadlifted 440kg (970lbs)!!!!
That is an unbelievable lift. He predicted that he would be the first to deadlift 1000lbs and he's not too far off.

He dominated Andy Bolton! Bolton first pulled 427,5 kg, but could not answer Benedikts lift of 440. At the end Benedikt even tried to pull 455kg
(1003lbs). He got it up to his knees.
There is no doubt who the worlds best deadlifter is.

To Andy's credit, he did do the full meet and not DL only like Benni. Bolton also squatted 1155 and benched 650 and the 44? was 4th attempt! he went 400kg, 421kg and dont remember the third. but he finised 940!! and 2700+ total the second highest ever!!
