I've been lurking for a while. Thanks for all the info. Good to see a board where there is a wealth of bros that actually compete and can give advise from experience.

Thought I would post up some pics to finally introduce myself. These are from a couple of years ago. Haven't competed since. Had too much school going on. Now I'm at a point where I have the time and money to train how I want. I would love to see how I can do at the national level. Right now I'm bulking, planning on a late show this year.

I weighed in at 168 at this comp, I'm 5'6"
Right now I'm up to 215

I would love to hear any comments/critiques.

I am not an NPC judge but from my "untrained" eye.You look very good and lean.
 
You are hard as nails. Really conditioned.
 
Thanks for the encouragement! I do all my diet on my own. That was my 3rd show...I finally got my conditioning where I was pretty happy with it. I still feel like I have a ton to learn...especially about what I need to be doing the last week or two before a show. Right now Im just tryin to put on mass. I want come in at over 190 lbs at my next comp.
 
Wow, You have a great physique! You have the potential to achieve great things with that body. Your conditioning is ridiculous...You have dense, full muscle bellies and shredded beyond belief. Keep posting regarding your training and competition schedule...It would be fun to watch your progress!! By the way, how old are you and what shows did you do/how did you do and what are you looking at for future shows? Good luck...Take care!!!

I wouldn't go off the weight. You were 168, you are talking about a 22 pound difference. Unless those pictures were taking a few years ago, that is alot of muscle growth. Looking at your pictures, you a have a great physique and just packing on 5-8 pounds in the same condition is going to look like a big improvement at 5'6". Don't sacrafice that condition you are in now, it looks great.

It has been a couple of years since that show. I'm at 215 right now. I'd estimate 6-7 % bf and just starting a serious bulk. I'm thinking I can get to a solid 230 before I have to start cutting. I'm not planning on getting sloppy. I've never been above 10% in my life

I came in 5th in my first show years ago (didn't know what the hell I was doin). I took first in lightweight open at the west texas classic. And then first in the middleweights at the Europa. I decided I didn't want to do another show until I could challenge for the overall titles. (I REALLY don't like losing). Planning on doing the Texas State Championships as my next show. If I can come in at light-heavy weight and conditioned like I was for the Europa, I think I'll be tough to beat
