It is truly amazing the way people are able to blind themselves from the obvious truth. My father is (a good example) has been suffering from Type II diabetes for several years now and is severely overweight.
All along I have considered this condition total bullshit.
Of course most people in his situation prefer to listen to so called doctors and experts for advice and instruction on the treatment for such conditions. I have had a hard time understanding why a doctor would put a person in this condition on the various diabetic drugs to lower insulin resistance. When it is obvious that the real problem is consumption of too many unneeded carbohydrates??? According to my father the doctor told him to avoid consuming too much sugar and to keep an eye on how certain foods affect his blood sugar. So my father figured if eating a large bag of pretzels every night in front of the TV didn't raise his blood sugar terribly then it must be OK.
I occurs to me now that this is the same old situations where big business; drug companies and junk food manufacturers work together to perpetuate what makes them money.
I see it like this: I f people stopped consuming ridiculous amounts of crap their bodies don't need, the fast food giants and junk food manufacturers would stand to loose a lot of money. Also the Drug companies would loose profits on the latest diabetes drugs because people wouldn't need them. Not only this, but doctors would no longer be able to charge patients for unnecessary visits and checkups for the simplest most ridiculous problems like over-eating.
Instead doctors provide drugs so people are actually able to consume more crap for longer periods of time, increasing profits for both pharmaceutical companies and junk food manufacturers.
THE PROOF: Against the recommendation of my father's GP, he had gastric by-pass about a month ago. He is no longer able to consume huge amounts of crap. Well he is now off the type II diabetic drugs, off the cholesterol drugs and has lost about 30 pounds and feels great.
What a freaking joke. People are so stupid it amazes me....
