BAD ASS! That one in number two is an AH-64D longbow. One of my favs. The dome above the rotor disc is an AN/APG-78 millimeter wave radar(MMW).

There was a movie about a helicopter too in the 80's with the guy that was in Jaws....roy scheider I believe was his name..

That would have been "BLUE THUNDER". Cool movie with some incredible helo scenes in it. Air Wolf was one of my favs!!

Notre Dame De sous Terre

Vaulting inside of Chartres cathedral. My g/f and I went here last Christmas on our brief jaunt across Europe. Even if you are not religious, this place is so highly charged (due to high telluric earth currents or 'wouvre') it invokes awe in even the most staunch of atheists. Beautiful.

Rose window

The stained glass at this cathedral was made by medieval adepts in a style that cannot be explained or duplicated by modern methods. The luminosity of the glass is the same whether it is sunny, overcast, or evening outside. It is believed to be 'alchemical' in nature. The pic does not do it justice but it gives you an idea.

That's what I call a window. Just breathtaking. They were very clever in those times and we may never know how they managed many of the feats of architecture and art! I for one am glad we get to see it!
