OT avoiding viruses while downloading music

i use utorrent. if you dont know how to use a torrent its a little different. id look into it.

then go to Rapidshare Forum - Rapid.org
download all the music, movies, and shows you want ... exceptionally fast and it has reviews and shit...

i've had it with fucking fake and virus loaded torrents...

I've used Ares for years. Only download an .mp3 file. I've never gotten a virus, trojan, or ad-ware.

thepiratebay is also a good place, or you can always use limewire on a mac, virus programmers don't bother making any for macs due to it being such a small portion of the computer market

I use bittorrent for all my music downloading. Just be sure to run a virus scan on all files before opening them. Another tip is to pay close attention to the size of the files you are downloading. If it is only a few k in size rather than a few megs, there is no way it is a legitimate music file. I have about 10gigs of music on my computer and haven't gotten a virus yet.

Dont know what the hell is up!?...but all this week i have been downloading from btjunkie but when i start it up on utorrent nothing will download. I left my cpu going for like 4 hours and the download percentage still didnt get past 0%

Any ideas???

Don't use limewire.

I haven't had my anti virus or anti spy ware program turned on in over a year, I turned it on the other day and did a full scan, found nothing.
Why? Because I trust where I download.

A Little O/T

My computer crashed a few months ago, and I had to re-install my OS.

Since then, my pc will not recognize my ipod, it says the ipod can only be registered to 1 computer.

So I cannot add any songs to the ipod, unless I reboot it and that will clear everything.

I already lost my whole library because it was converted to itunes and now I can't get it back.

Any suggestions?

I will never go with itunes again, all the music I paid for is now gone

I use btjunkie for years now and have downloaded 1000,s of music files , including every song , every recording including rare stuff never released that downloads in yellow folders with everything lined up perfect ... the movie files are also good and I just downloaded 2 versions of " paranormal activity ... you have to install utorrent to download the files and even though the majority of files are safe , some contain viruses , mostly from porn , so run your virus scanner before opening something ... frostwire which is similar to limewire is also good but mostly for individual songs ... just go to **broken link removed** and keep in mind nothing is completely safe these days when you can open a site and your virus scanner detects a malware on the web page as with the piratebay.com that i cant go to anymore because of this ... I have to think the administrators on btjunkie try to clean up any malware idiots put on it that have nothing better to do or try to hack into everything ...

I haven't had any problems with what I've been looking for. I use Firefox with Downloadhelper and after streaming the song if it sounds good I just rip it with 'DLH'; both for ease and making sure I know I've downloaded an actual mp3 file.
