OT: Hunting and fishing...

Any avid hunters / fishers on here? What critters do you pursue?

I've been a pretty hard core turkey hunter (spring gobbler), but this year i'm more interested in chasing 2 legged does. Going in the am, only 2nd time this season, and season's been open 2.5weeks, i've usually gone a doz times by now... I LOVE offshore fishing for grouper / snapper and other incidentals like cobia, AJ, dolphin, etc... grouper season just opened April 1, been too windy to go yet, and red snappa opens June 1, ready to load the freezer! Also former fly fishing junkie (trout, salmon) haven't gone in over a year, but prolly going in a few weeks to Elizabethton TN area to fish the S Holsten / Wautauga

What are 2 legged does haha sorry for the ignorance. DOLPHIN? You can fish dolphin? I didn't know that. Those pretty good eatin? What sort of fight do those put up? Do you fish them the same way you do marlin and shark? I've never done any salt water fishing so I'm really oblivious when it comes to it.

Surprisingly, being in Michigan I've never done any bear hunting, always wanted to but its a bitch to get a license here. I've known guys who have applied for 10+ years and have never been selected.

Bow hunting buffalo? Damn that's got to be a rush!

I looovvveeee hunting Whitetail. I've been to Saskatchewan, took a real nice 11pt there here a couple years ago. It's steely (stealhead) season right now, they've been running like nuts in Lake Michigan lately, going this Saturday actually. Outside of stealhead I fish king salmon, trout, bass, and walleye. My dream is to make it out west and do a little elk & moose hunting with a bow.

fresh water- large mouth bass and trout

salt water- blue fish and striped bass, sometimes flounder

hunting, haven't hunt in while, but it was mostly- dear, rabbit and pheasant

Don't really like wild turkey. The meat is to tough and gamey.

Don't have no boar where I'm at, but they must taste good.

Never went for tuna. Wanted to, but soon as someone catches one they turn the boat around and head for shore from hearing from my buddies who go.

I really like hunting and fishing.

Deer and elk in the winter. I love bird hunting. In the summers I float the rivers near my house and fish for trout. I'd love to go fishing in Alaska.

I didn't shoot anything during big game season this year. I mainly love being out in the woods.

I'm also an avid hunter and fisherman. Haven't done any Turkey hunting this year, and not sure when I'll get a chance. In the fall I love deer hunting, and especially enjoy archery hunting.

Fishing is my real passion. I prefer fly fishing, but I have no problem using conventional tackle to catch fish. As a side to fly fishing, I also enjoy fly tying and tie my own flys. As for species, I primarily fish for trout, bass, panfish, and stripers. I've been offshore fishing for grouper and snapper once and did enjoy it. Have you fished the S. Holsten/Wautauga before? I've fished them both a couple of times. Been a while since I've fished either of them though.

fished them quite a number of times, been over 3 yrs though. Friend has house on S Holsten, we drop the drift boats in at the dam, pay the fee to have the trucks brought to the house. it's a good time

I love to hunt mainly whitetail, turkey, and pigs. the thing about hunting pigs and coyotes is its year round there is no season it makes life that much cooler. I am an avid bass fisherman usually fish 8 months out of the year. only thing is it doesnt leave much time to pursue my other past times. like say hitting the gym and work luckily i work in a gym.

I caught a 30 lb+ dauphin in what looked like 8 to 12 feet of water, no more than fifty feet from a rock wall that a fishing boat picked me up off of in Cozumel several years ago. I thought I had hung a rock! Biggest and best fish of the day.

i can trout and bass fish alllllll damn day, rainbow trout, brown trout, golden trout, very yummy, season starts in a few months and i cant wait

Hunting: Mule Deer, Black tail deer, Roosevelt Elk, Rocky Mt Elk, Antelope

Fishing: Trout mostly (rainbow, brook, cut throat, brown), occasionally salmon/steelhead

Other: Anything that has to do with guns in general I pack my .40 everywhere i go!

i hunt year round and fish almost every day during the summer.
Hunting: white tail, black baer, turkey, fox, cyote, and ground hogs (good target practice).
Fishing: large and small mouth bass, striper, and catfish.
