OT - Mr. McMahon

Here’s an old thread Lucian made of stories from his wrestling days I thought would be interesting to add to this thread. I haven’t reread it because it’s kinda sad but it’s good.

So I just finished all six episodes. I didn’t realize how much I missed all the on air McMahon family drama. So much in here took me down memory lane.

It also makes me realize that the wrestling business really did use to be more entertaining, and I’m the last person to try to say everything back in the day used to be better.

The in ring performance is better today for people who care about that, absolutely. I’m just more of a storyline guy.

I remember watching scott steiner back in the day in awe 🤣

On episode 3. Definitely brings back memories

I watched it all as soon as it came out . Good documentary but nothing really new if you’re a wrestling fan .

He looks really rough these days. His chest is all caved in from injuries. Tough to see.

I take it by 'entertaining' you more mean 'risque' like the late 1990s we all grew up with.

In January when WWE Raw moves to Netflix we may get some more of that as they won't have restrictions on language, violence, etc.

I thought it was great. Brings back a lot of memories. They are persecuting McMahon these days but nothing could take away his influence. My greatest memories were of the short lived WBF. I wish he would have started it sooner like 1985 vs 1991 when the government passed anablition. I was just getting serious in bodybuilding and went to the first WBF show in Atlantic City in my parachute pants and teal green T Michael. Sat a row behind Trump and Marla Maples. I still can't believe how big Strydom was at that show.
I had all the Icopro supplements and WBF gear. Back then there wasn't much bodybuilding on TV and Vince did a great job of inserting the bodybuilders onto the wrestling shows on Saturday and beyond.

It’s on my list. I use to watch all the ppvs. I was more of a wcw fan until I was forced over to wwf. I remember the ppv event for wcw that had 3 rings and pools around it.

the monday night wars were the golden age... nothing comes close to the attitude era of wwf

I watched the series, i enjoyed it, vince was a powerful person and character, the bloke i reckon got so much bedroom action, i reckon he even swung both ways

Absolutely agreed! Those times created incredible memories. I miss those days.

I was, overall, very disappointed by this series.

For anyone that's been a fan and followed the various documentaries and paired that with standard news, there was NOTHING new here.

I was hoping for more on his childhood, early years, etc. Everything else was a retread.

For casual outsiders or someone that hans't watched in a couple of decades, this is a great production. Otherwise, it was kind of a wet fart. A well-done and flawlessly produced wet fart, but stained underwear, nonetheless.

I knew a guy from my old gm who was a WWF wrestler for 3 years. He said he got to tour Japan and he loved it. He said McMahon wanted his guys to be the biggest in the world and taking lots of gear was a requirement.
I must say I really enjoy the WWE movies I see on Netflix and Amazon, etc. They always have WWE wrestlers in them, and some are great movies! If you haven’t seen it check out this one! I really like this movie! It’s currently free on Amazon Prime:
NO ONE LIVES
It has the wrestler, Tyrus, in it.

Extremely disappointed in the show. I heard nothing I haven’t already heard and I think Vince is pretty much full of shit and a creepy predator and a closet gay. He also chose his dialogue. Don’t get me wrong I grew up on wrestling too I went to the first wrestlemania. But there is a lot of degenerate shit going on in that business. Like wrestling itself, lots of smoke and mirrors.

They literally did an entire episode on his childhood and relationship with his father…

That was the point of the doc

They did 5 minutes on his childhood, another 5 on age 12-“I want to be in the business”and zero minutes on his relationship with Vince Sr. that hasn’t been common knowledge for 20 years.

They talked more about his relationship/infatuation with Dr. Jerry Graham than with his dad.

Sorry dude, unless one is a casual fan that’s been largely disconnected for the past theee decades, this was poo poo.

I agree 100

You’re right they left out a lot. They should have gone into more detail.. about Stephanie!
What are her hobbies and turn on’s. What sexual positions are her favorites and her feelings about anal. I think the unanswered question on everyone’s mind is do those fantastic ginormous titties have silver dollar nipples? I mean, are we supposed to just imagine what they look like stepping out of the shower dripping wet? It’s bs!
