OT: Superman VS. The Incredible Hulk

ok guys we had this discussion at work last night. as stupid as it seems it actualy got pretty heated. My vote is for Superman.

homer vs. peter

tommy chong vs. willie nelson

maximus vs. king leonidis

Marge simpson on steroids vs. Lois Griffen when she took karate

Superman hands down. Hulk is tough and would give him a good fight but unless the hulk had kryptonite.....in the end superman would beat him. But hulk would get in some licks dont get me wrong. Figure superman has heat vision, cold breath, strength far superior to the hulk, he can fly, run faster than light can travel, is bullet proof etc.

Hulk has strength but according to marvel can lift only 70 tons. He isnt bullet proof but bullets to the hulk are like mosiquito bites to us. Still though missles can hurt hulk. Hulk can jump high but not over buildings. At one time Marvel said hulk could jumo a distance of 20 miles in one bounce but that was only as the grey hulk and were talking the green one.

He's tough no doubt but no superman. Remember Hulk is a pea brain. A last ditch resort would be for superman to wait until he returned to bruce banner and then pummel him. LOL!!

Are you kidding me? All superman has to do is fly at his max speed right into the hulk who would never even see or hear him coming and tear a massive hole right through him. However it's because of superman's character and morales that he would never do this and probably always try to fight a fair fight like a sucker.

This has gotten me looking at all the stuff on the net about it. I haven't been in video games in years since I buckled down to study: now I see this video game on youtube ala mortal combat with the characters against each other.

Abadseal: I saw the Justice League episodes on cartoon network a few years back. The Supes from a parallel world lobotomized Doomsday with heat vision and enacted martial rule. The dirty fighting is not in the regular Superman.

Love superman, but to be fair, doesn't it depend on which hulk we're talking about? Isn't the savage hulk's strength unknown? It just keeps growing as he gets more mad.

Homer of course, the Dedric Tatum fight was fixed. I would like to see Peter fight that chicken though....best fight scene ever!

I hate that question cause Hulk is my Marvel fav, and Superman is my DC fav. In general Superman would win. But there are many different incarnations, storylines, and continuites of both characters. All of which have varying diffrences in power. Currently there is a Superman series where kryptonite only "tickles" him a little. Sometimes the Hulk could win, but mostly superman.

Tommy and Willie would end up smokin out.
Maximus would win, but Leonidis is more hardcore.
Lois cause she's hot.

to many unknown factors here. wich hulk, wich superman. is superman poisoned by red kryptonite? any kind of kryptonite. depending on wich hulk would very his strength a great deal. also with superman there are unknown factors as well. i would say the hulk but it would be a close fight.

That's one of my favorite superman clips, shows that he constantly holds back from what he can really do.
And as much as I'm a hulk fan, I gotta go with Superman for the eventual victory in this matchup.

Superman would win in a fair fight, but he could beat anyone, that's why he's no fun. Superman is the cheapest super hero there is "let's just give a guy every power there is and his only weakness is this very rare substance that only makes him weak while he's around it" Superman is the Yankees, the overdog, and the Hulk is 100x's cooler than him. Plus, Lou Ferrigno would kick Christopher Reeves ass.
