I had been working out 6 times a week (5 days a week, twice on saturdays) for anywhere between 45 to 75 minutes each time. Ya don't worry I know how badly I was wrong. I did that weekly schedule for about 16 weeks with never missing a workout on test-e 500mg EW (dbol 30mg ED for 4 of those weeks). I had my blood pressure taken at around 125/85 about 12 weeks in and I didn't really think anything of it. I finally changed to HIT, doing 3 days a week and usually average only about 35 minute workouts. I never took a week off before I started HIT. I felt like I was getting sick last weekend and couldn't get any energy to go to the gym. I went to the doctors and saw that my blood pressure was 155/102. I found out the next day that all the symptoms I had been feeling all pointed to being very over trained. I've been off from the gym for over a week and my blood pressure is down to 117/74 and I feel a lot better but I know I still need more time off. Pretty much I was stupid... =)
 
yeah way overtrained. even with HIT style training it is easy to get overtrained. its wise to take a "cruise" week atleast every sixth week.

i understand you drive! but its is being counterproductive.

ya i had been getting a full 8 hours normally but the week before my body decided to finally crap out on me I was only getting about 6 hours a night.. i think that was the final straw
 
We all go through this at some point...now try to remember that your lessons learned need to echo into your individual workouts as well....no more than 3-5 sets for chest as an example, lol...good luck.
 
with me i train for about 2 hours 120 min weights and 30 - 40 min cardio, i can only go 4 days a week anymore i get overtrained

Again Ness, I agree. We think alot a like. We all have been down that road. "I am not working hard enough" after 3 hours pounding it out in the gym. Where in the end you wasted 2 hours and did damage instead of good to your body. As most of us know but I think only a few of us apply REST and RECOVERY are key factors in making gains!
