Painfull Shots... Sometimes

I've done the cycles of shitty gear that leave you with days of pain after each injection. But why on week 4, after 3 weeks of perfectly pain free injections, would a shot be painful? Could it possibly be due to hitting a nerve or something? It certainly has irritated the muscle making full range of motion very difficult (glute injections).

a few pointers...

Number one know your source. Is gear sterile???? Does it have a high Benzyl alcohol content??? Also factors of hitting old scar tissues. Are you moving the needle around while injecting(many are guilty of this). If your moving the needle around it is serrating muscle tissue whith the needle causing more trauma to the area. Plus everone once in a while an injection just hurts. As long as no signs of redness, edema or drainage from site. I would say all is well. If you start feeling weak, lethargic, swelling at site, redness, fever. Then you need to be seen in the ER.(by a qualified doctor).

I'm dealing with a batch of gear I've used before and have been using for the past couple of weeks. It's the last of a bunch of Morning Star stuff. The vials used this weeks were the sames ones used the previous three. So I suspect sterility is not the issue.

I suspect it's simply one of those painful injections. These days I'm doing things in more of a calculated manner and just want to understand every side-effect. I suspect I just hit a nerve, tore up some scar tissue, and that's it. This is nothing new, it's happened before. I'm just trying to understand why and see if it can be prevented.

If it does not happen every time you inject and all your gear is from same batch there is a very good chanch you are injecting the gear close to a nerve and its irrating the nerve untill it leaves the area.

I think that is spot on. On this particular injection I certainly hit a nerve. The painful effect for the past couple of days has been a dull pain that went through my glute and even into my lower leg and just a tad into my lower back. It's been 3 days now and the pain has significantly subsided.

Mystery solved and lesson learned. I suppose when injecting, when you hit a nerve, pull out, put on a new needle, and try a new spot.
