Pesty 1 week from the Tournament of Champions

Greg is 1 week out from the TOC held this year in Culver City California..

Greg, 6'2 and 49 years old.. Decided to do a show last year to get him back into the gym after a layoff from training and 18 years from his last show..

His condition is pretty solid, especially for his age... He will be competing in the novice and masters class and I think he will hold his own.

Today we finished up plans for the last weeks prep. After this show ... plans are to add size all over..... and bring even better next year as even at almost 50 hes in it for the long run...

Thats what its all about.. learning/improving..Glad to be part of it.. he has been great to work with..

I want to thank you guys because i know he values what you all say..

And i know he is one to always support you in your goals as well...

this prep was a stepping stone for him..

Funny because we met up to today to work on the posing, take pics and discuss the last week.... he is already talking about the off season putting on size, , the next show and one after that.. At 50 is his getting back into competition..

I think this is pretty cool.. Age is not holding this guy back.. Not once did i hear him complain about any injury, pains or complaints about the diet..
And we have kept in touch and have met up a number of times since meeting up at last years border states..

This show was about getting back into a structured training plan/diet and back into the sport of bodybuilding.. Age is not an issue... especially if you set realistic goals..

He can tell you that he has met his goals for this year already.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. Yea Alex, we did what we set out to do and that is get real lean and conditioned. A little background for those who don't know me. I haven't competed in 18 years and met Alex and he put some spark back in me(along with quite a few from this board). I was about 200-205 pounds and about 12-14% BF back in May, 2008 when I started this venture. So, as you can see I made great strides this year. I am not where I want to be as far as size, but this year in the off season I will be counting everything and training heavy(No messing around) My goal was this, to be one of the top 50 guys for some of these local shows in LA. I think with some added size, I will give some of these 50 guys a run for the money. There is a lot of good guys on these boards and making great progress. I think we can feed off each's others positive attitudes.
