phil heath.....

He's passing up a good pay day.. Last year at the arnold he looked great, and he looked even better at the olympia.

If he were to bring his A game to the arnold it'd be his, but he is probably taking it easy on his body rather than hitting it hard for so long.

Hopefully his sponsors are making it worth it to him, the arnold is a money show.

Normally, with the politics of bodybuilding, I would say winning the Arnold would would have him as a front runner coming into the Olympia, but since he placed second at the O last year he is already the front runner(to Jay). All in all it's hard to say. At least it will make the Arnold that much more interesting. Now the question is who do you think will win the Arnold....Branch? Kai? Victor? Who will it be?

If Phil truly wants to be Mr. Olympia, this was a wise, strategic decision for him. Jay doesn't compete in the Arnold - he focuses solely on the Olympia ... and it has paid off him. Phil seems to be following in the footsteps of his mentor, and he's clearly making a statement that money isn't his main goal. Being the best bodybuilder in the world is - and that means winning the Olympia. I have no doubt in my mind that Phil will win the Olympia some day.

Gee, thanks MO........

hahah.. that was a good one phill..... we all know you got a couple more shows left in you!!!!

I disagree, I actually think to win the Olympia nowadays you have to win the Arnold first.

He should do that and then go to the Olympia.

I think he made the right decision in this one he is right there at Jays side and I believe this will bring a lot more publicity to the match up as it gets closer. It will make this years Arnold a bit different though, can't wait to see how it all unfolds.:headbang:

I can't comment on this with my personal opinion or refer to any conversations I have had with Phil or I am going to be referred to as a nut hugger so I will just stay quiet on this one. Not in the "battle the haters" mood today.

Nice new car, though. :)

Skip

I'm a Heath fan and it sucks that we will have to wait like a learn before we see him on stage again!! But yeah I can understand the strategy behind it. Still think Jay will retain his title.
