Please help I don't know what to do

Ok my boy is getting older and into computers for his learning games, I have a old Dell in the garage that i'm gonna put in his room so it will be his. Been along time I can't remember the password to get onto the computer, my wife dosen't rember also, is there a default password I could use? It has XP on it don't know if tis helps, these's gotta be away for me to unlock it or do I have to bring it in for service...I know nothing bout computers..........Thanks

It will reset password to Demo12345 then you can log in and change it to what you want.

what kaiser said will work fine for windows passwords, but are you needing to log into windows or is there a bios password set?
(meaning you turn the computer on and you get like a blue and black screen asking for a password before windows begins to start up) If so, if you can give us the motherboard model,make etc.. we can probably find a layout for you, show you which jumpers to set to clear the password.

You say you know nothing about computers so i figured your terminology isn't quite up to par.
