I have recently started taking waxy maize along with my protein as a post workout drink. But I have noticed that about 40 mins post drinking I get chronic stomach cramping followed by a rush to the toilet.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so what have you replaced waxy maize with to get your carbs quickly without cooking or prep
 
I had that problem for a while and couldn't figure it out until I stopped taking a preworkout. Superpump was always the worse for me. So if your taking one it could be that.

if you are dead set on the whole high molecular weight carb thing try Swedish oat starch

Heard nothing but good things about Karbolyn.

If you are open to other ideas I would say get yourself some super lean red meat with rice and veggies :D
 
Thanks for the ideas guys. Ill have to look into these ideas. I do take a pre workout, never thought that it could be that. I might try to mix it up a bit and try a few days without the pre workout. I do usually eat fruit also post, on the way to work about 30 mins post train
 
1/2 cup white rice with a tablespoon stawberry jelly is my favorite post workout carb with 6oz tilapia.

Ive gone to this rather than a shake and notcied that a hr later im STARVING !! much more than with a shake
 
I added post workout carbs back into my diet and it's pretty nice.

I have 2 waffles, 1/4 cup of maple syrup and 50g whey isolate. Gotta love diets.
 
is 60 grams of sugar, 50 grams of fat bad right after workout ?
