Hey, i am assuming that you are King_Kong over on Bolex. If you are, u seem to know about fat loading, and i am curious about this. I cant find any info on this and hope u can help, or anyone else.

Some of the foods he uses are:
unsalted cashews
Just Peanuts brand of Peanut Butter
Eatmore bars (any bar with nuts as #1 ingredient)
Steak between prejudging and finals

hmmm trying to remember them all....

He does have his competitors eating carbs also so it is NOT strickly fats.
I know he used to have his clients eat 1/2 jar of Ultra Strawberry jam and 1/2 jar of Just Peanuts peanut butter.
Another meal was plain cheese cake.
Handfull of unsalted cashews

Another time a meal was ground beef, ketchup and whole eggs.

This was a few years ago however. He changes things from time to time. I can find out what is used more recently if you want but it generally is the same.

I did NOT like my experience with Abel. All I have to say is watch yourself. I think he picks and chooses who he wants to do well. There are many other issues but I think it is better to say that he has burnt a LOT of bridges. Just ask Scott Milne.

If we are talking about Fat loading before a show. I do it with great results. I look great if i carb load but if i load up on fat. i look damm freaky! I usually throw an entire stick of unsalted butter in my mashed potatoes and start eating that about 10 pm the night before my show. In the morning i wake up eat more taters, Peanut butter, and A very large filet mingion. this is before morning prejudging. between shows i eat tuna with tons of mayo and drink some cranberry juice.
 
i ate lean beef and grapefruit 6x per day on thurs. and fri. then 3 hours before getting stage ate something with more sugar in it but still kept the fat high as well

Were you taking in as many carbs as a carb load PLUS the fat?
I resond really well to an isocal diet, freaky hard and viens. I would like to try the fat load, prob not for my show, but might experiment in the following weeks.

Anyone else have thoughts or knowledge on this?
 
i followed a standard beverly int. final week diet...lots of l-carnitine the final week...i had a big carb meal wednesday night and that was it carb wise except grapefruit until 3 hours before show. 8 oz beef and 1 grapefruit 6 times on thurs and friday. if you want more info on this call beverly and they will help you out with this type of final week approach. its a good, solid, and safe approach. drop sodium, potassium load start tuesday, and water load start sunday and drop throughout week.
 
I before i started doing this method. I tested it out by carbing up taking pic then eating massvie fat and taking pics. The pics didn't lie. hard and tight as shit. really shreaded

so basically have stayed with the same method and modify it slightly each time trying to get better. I basically carb load from thursday at noon till friday at 10pm or so. The i fat load taking in moderate ammounts of carbs and tons of fat. I like my look much better with the fat. It sounds like your body responds similar to mine so you might want to try it.
