What do you take to reduce prostate enlargement that will not mess with the test converting to DHT?

I use 2 NOW Prostate Support per day just to be safe at my age. I have no BPH side effects so I don't see a reason to use Proscar or Propecia.

I tried Propecia back in the day to save my hair and it gave me a limp dick so dumped it in a hurry. I'd rather be bald and be able to shoot a cannon across the room than have hair with a limp dick.

Bump for info. Recently started experiencing some bph issues, seemed to show up almost overnight .

I've heard. Vit C, vit d, zinc, saw palmetto, are helpful.

I'd look into pomegranate, boswellia serrata, boron, saw palmetto, lycopene, beta-sitosterol, zinc, stinging nettle...

Knight do you know if any of these supplements will directly effect the test from converting to DHT?

Thanks

No idea...prob can't have your cake and eat it too..

If I were to drop test to 200mgs a week and use a sarm like LDG-4033 would that have less effect on prostate?
I have no idea bro...depends on the estrogen/dht.

Cialis

Cialis. FDA approved for that. Insurance coverage too. No issues with test converting to DHT
that I am aware of but I’m no expert (on anything). Ask your Urologist. Of course if you are on
a boatload of androgens, your mileage will vary. You are in no man’s land there. All anecdotal.

Shit, I forgot the most obvious one to me..since I use it for that. Awesome!

Tadafil & Saw Palmetto

Just found this, looks like i am good to go...

A DHT blocker will have no impact on your gains negitivly as DHT is not active in muscle. In fact muscle destroys DHT rapidly rather than produces it. If anything the anabolic enviroment is better with a DHT blocker as the testosterone won't be lost to DHT conversion.

I use pharm grade Permixon (Serenoa repens). Works really well for me. But Cialis take my attention, it's shame the head rush that it gives me.

I would say CIALIS would be a great option here
since its now approved for BPH too.

For those of you who are recommended cialis.....why?? The question was to prevent bph. To the OP, what are you concerned about? Are you trying to help with SYMPTOMS of bph or are you concerned with prevention. Cialis will help with symptoms such as urinary issues via smooh muscle relaxation. But its not going to correct the underlying issue or prevent anything

Yes I was looking to prevent prostate issues

Right so cialis is not going to prevent prostate issues. It MAY help prevent some urinary tract issues that are normally secondary to BPH and help prevent some urinary symptoms but its not going to help the underlying issue.

Now the people who recommended cialis probably did so because you specified for some reason you didnt want to interfere with 5 alpha reduct and that tied their hands. Why is that?

I mean if your concerned about prostate health you have to either prevent the binding of androgens ( not very specific and I wouldnt mess with that), the conversion to DHT thus decreasing the amount of locally available DHT to bind, and some studies have also shown estrogen plays a role.

So what you are asking for isnt really possible. Do you have a family history of prostate cancer? A personal history of BPH? Why specifically are you concerned about your prostate?

Just so you know most of the things that were recommended that didnt affect smooth muscle they all had benefits but mostly mediated though 5AR soo.. i mean theres really much avoiding that. Not saying things like serenoa (that was suggested) doesnt play a role just that it also likely messes with 5ar but it also seems to have other interesting properties like ant inflam and prolactin modulation. But it still has been shown to mess with 5ar

What are you guys talking about? Cialis prevents against bph.

How would it do that...

It is used in a similiar fashion as the alpha drugs used for BPH. Please explain how cialis would prevent BPH which is under hormonal control. Remember it is hyperplasia.

what you probably read is that cialis is approved for bph and are now making assumptions on the mechanism of action and thought it was going to help prevent BPH when in reality it doesnt work like that although it can be a useful drug for those who have BPH.
