Can anyone tell me other things I can put in my protein shakes that will give me a little more protein and carbs with minimal fat? Right now i'm drinking 2 muscle juice 2554 shakes per day, i split the dose so it's 500 calories per shake.
 
couple of cheap easy options I've been using quite abit in my blender drinks are :

1 serving Instant Oats (25g complex carbs/5g protein)

Pasteurized Egg Whites (5g protein per Large Egg)

Not the tastiest option, but with the right flavoring they're always available, cheap and extremely efficient.

Tuna- if you can deal with it
Natty PB- makes it higher fat content too
Cottage cheese- if you can deal with the texture
Olive Oil- learn to love its taste
 
Yea I used to loooove to put in the Natural PB...and cottage cheese sometimes

waxymaize is like dextrose but better right? What exactly is LBA?

Waxymaize is a better post workout carb than dextrose,it absorbs a lot quicker due to its lower mulecular weight. LBA'S-Lord Be Available(for who ever on here and still not familiar wit them)-seriously its liquid beef aminos,pm Phil Hernon for purchasing details.
 
Egg whites, oats, PB, Mixed fruit, cottage cheese...
Take those yougurt in the plastic cups and freeze em and then stick em in the blender with your powder and some cottage cheese.. Its like having a gritty milkshake.. It really is very tasty.. More protien, fats and carbs right there..
 
some suggestions

Most of my shakes are isolated whey based I really hate changing those low carb low fat numbers. If you are in need of a great powder search out Scifit's newest addition 100% Whey isolate. http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/sf/whey.html

however as you requested here are some things to add to your DeLonghi blender as it's whirling away :D

1) handful of Raw Oats

2) organic sugar-free shredded coconut http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VZR1Z6

3) Liquid Flax

4) Peter-pan reduced fat peanut butter 1 Tbs. only :rolleyes:

5) sugar free apple sauce

6) frozen orange wedges or strawberries, blueberries etc.. Vanilla powder works best with these :p

Hope this helps, enjoy the links and I think isolated whey is the way to go! Low in cholestrol, sugar and carbs. free-ing you up for your diet/solid food intake.

I actually just read something the other day that said waxymaize absorbs slower than white bread or related fast carbs like that

Mix it with milk,,that will add some protein.
 
i mix mine with dutch choco milk. MANY CALORIES!!!
 
On Alin board someone brought up drinking condensed milk to add protein. It was a good amount of protein for the portion. This could be an option for you.
 
Try this, I think the taste is great personally.

This is how I make it in the order I do it.

1 strawberry carb master yogurt from kroger

1 1/2 cup of oats

one scoop strawberry nitro tech

10 grams creatine powder from supplementdirect.com

10 grams glutamine powder from same place

2 teaspoons isoluecine powder from same place

1 sliced up banana

1 cup of egg whites

1/2 cup cold water

Blend on high for a minute then let set for about 30 seconds then blend it again then repeat one more time.

I blend the hell out of it just to make sure the oats and banana get mixed in and there is no solid pieces in it.


I do it for a quick breakfast and post workout.
