Psycho Ex put a website/password logger on my computer...

Apparently the ex put some sort of program on my computer that logs all websites and passwords that are inputed.

Obviously I need it off, short of going to best buy I have no idea how to find it and remove it.

Spybot and malware bytes do not pick it up

Any ideas?

She told me she has it on here, also she knows exactly what I am doing based off of conversations.

Refuses to give me the name of it. Nothings popping up but shes getting email alerts every time I visit websites and shes sending them to friends/family etc.

Tape record her saying that she put it on there as it is a felony. Then take the drive out and plug it in another computer and scan it with a few different virus scanners, namely Kaspersky as listed above. Kaspersky does find most as he stated but if it is a newer one, there may be a rootkit involved. If you dont have an extra computer, take it to a professional. More than likely, she just has your password, however, and is logging in as you on facebook, or messengers. Change your password to all.

Check the wires going to your keyboard, and see if there are any weird USB devices plugged in. There are a lot of piggy back setups that plug into the computer, then the keyboard plugs into that.

Also download ComboFix, it is a GREAT program for finding rootkits and such, after running ComboFix, run Hitman Pro just to make sure everything is gone.

If that doesnt get the program off, it more than likely is one of those paid-for legit keyloggers that bosses put on their employees computers and such, in which case, its time to do a fresh install. In most cases, ComboFix will kill even those paid for applications though, so its worth a shot!

kaspersky will find most keyloggers. if its that big of a deal download all your documents to a seperate drive and reinstall windows. problem solved. i have all windows versions if you need one. also most keyloggers have to be added as an exception for a virus program not to see it which would mean she has access to your pc. reinstall, add passwords to even log on to your pc and change all your passwords to the sites you visit. problem solved. then kick her ass!

There happens to be a case in supreme court about that now, so outcome is pending. I would say that no, it wouldnt be because as a married couple you are treated as 1, a single entity. Therefor all is fair game for both of you and no secrets. That's just my guess, but like I said there is a guy defending himself now because he logged into his wife's email and found her cheating.
